"X is 5 over 2" I point at my answer on on the piece of paper showing it to matty who was squinted at my paper
"Your wrong, X is clearly 13.2 over 11.6" he shows me his paper which was full of erased mistakes everywhere.
" See?" "Did you divide?" I look at him questionably, ".....yeah, aren't you suppose to?" I shook my head with a slight smile "no, you multiply because you have to simplify or else your answer isn't right"
He puts his pencil down and his face into his hands groaning "why am I not getting this?" I scoot closer to matty on the couch and place my hand on his back "it's okay, these things are pretty tough I'm not gonna lie"
I try to not make him not feel bad about himself.
"I'm going to fail the test on Wednesday" he mumbles "no your not, we are going to sit here today and tomorrow and figure this out together alright? I want to help you understand this babe"
he puts his arm around me and brings me closed to him. "You think I'll pass?" I nod my head "I know you will because I see how much effort your putting in, now let's get back to this eh?"
