She followed Apollo reluctantly. After changing and about ten minutes of walking through the woodland back into town, she heard her name being called and the sound of panicked footsteps smashing into the ground.
"Tamer!" she cried.
Tamer flung his arms around her and rested his cheek on the top of her head, strong convulsions ripping through his arms as he squeezed her with a sigh of relief.
"I'm so glad," she squeaked, tears stinging in her eyes. Tamer nodded as he ran a hand over her head, frantically kissing her cheeks.
"Are you okay?"
She nodded.
"Thank you for bringing her back," Tamer gushed, casting Apollo a warm smile.
Apollo blinked, eyes shifting about before nodding.
There was a strange sort of screeching noise next to her. Both her and Tamer turned and found Lorelei, frozen as he took in the god. Eyes wide, an immediate bead of sweat trickled over his brow.
As soon as he realised they were watching him, he fainted dramatically. Apollo ran forward, catching Lorelei with his face smashed against his chest.
"Are you okay?" Apollo asked.
Face buried between two pecs, Lorelei looked up and drank in the most incredulously handsome male.
"Are you an angel because I just lost my light," he whispered.
Apollo's eye twitched.
"Yes, very good," he spat.
He helped the starstruck Lorelei to his feet. There was a pause. Lorelei clasped his hands and leaned forward expectantly. Going from irritable to just plain bewildered, Apollo began rubbing his neck awkwardly, growing more flustered the longer Lorelei stared with large, puppyish eyes.
Apollo scratched his face, eyes darting away with a mild flush.
"Should... Should I buy you a drink then?" he mumbled.
"Of course!"
Both Tamer and Winter gaped at each other. Lorelei had already successfully himself around Apollo's arm.
"W-wait, Lorelei!" Tamer cried. "Are you really going to just leave me after what's going to happen tomorrow? What if... "
"Tamer, now is not the time for your incessant jealously!" Lorelei snapped. Their eyes met and Lorelei's softened as he gave Tamer a small nod. "I want you to think about this, and I want you to think about this real hard. Do you actually want me around right now?"
Lorelei's eyes flickered to Winter then back to Tamer's as he made a circular gesture with his hand.
Tamer made an "o" shape with his mouth.
"Okay, bye, Lorelei."
Lorelei winked. "I will meet up with you two in the morning."
"Wait, what?" Apollo spluttered.
Lorelei dragged Apollo away from the pair with an urgent yank.
"Now, do you like men or do you like women? I can be flexible either way."
"I don't... I don't really have a preference."
"Great!"
"W-wait! Will Lorelei be safe with him?" Winter demanded.
Tamer gave a defeated sigh. "Winter... Lorelei doesn't fear death. Even if he was in danger, do you think I can stop this powerful force of nature either way?"
