Nervousness is a familiar feeling to all.

It occurs at all times when we're anxious and/or waiting for something to happen. It happens when we're tense and when we want to know what's going to happen.

The only reason I've not felt it in ages is because I never had to wait for something. I never had something to be tense about.

And, gosh, that girl is doing something to me and I don't know what to do about it. I don't know if I like it or not, only that I don't hate her anymore.

I like seeing her come into the café every day. I like seeing her smile. I like watching her expressions when she reads and the shape her mouth forms when she puts it on her coffee cup.

She makes me nervous.

She gives me that bone-tingling, nerve-wracking feeling. The one that drives me crazy because it's just so foreign to me.

Nervousness is scary. It can bring out the best in you. Or the worst. It can change things. Not everything, but a small part of everyone.

Nervousness makes my head spin. It makes my toes tap. It makes my heart pound.

I didn't know I had a heart anymore.

Apparently, I do.

And it's nervous.
