I stare at him in surprise.

H-he knows??

I attempt to clear up my confusion.
"U-uh, how-"

"Alright guys! The cafe is re-opening! Get ready!" Lukas interrupts me. "Dinner rush!"

"Got it!" Emil smiles and runs to the backroom.

He knows... WAIT- he knows.

"All the more reason to believe he saved me..." I smile, whispering to myself.

*Ding Ding*

"Ah, welcome to the Nordic Café!" I greet the customers.

"Ciao, bella!" The one with light brown hair replies. "Table for two, please!"

"Gotcha!" I take two menus and show him to his seat. The tall, blonde man follows closely behind. "Here are you menus, I'll be back to take your order!"

"Grazie!"

"Danke."

As i wait, i decide to wash tables.

"Excuse me!" The Italian calls. I rush over to them and take their orders, bringing to sheet back to the kitchen.

After serving a few more groups, it was closing time.

"Thank you for your hard work today, (Name)." Tino sweetly smiles.

"No problem, Tino." I return his grin. Berwald pats my head, while Lukas stares at me blankly. "Hey, where'a Emil?"

"He's finding someone, remember?" Matthias walks into the backroom. "He always leaves after his shift."

"Oh, i didn't know." I look down at the floor, dissapointed.

"Can you take this trash bag and throw it away, (Name)?" Tino holds out a black bag.

"Sure thing." I take the bag and walk outside into the alley.

"Hey, look!" A voice calls from the darkness. I turn towards the voice. "H-hello?"

"What a beautiful girl!" One says.

"Very pretty." Another adds.

"She is perfect, right guys?" A rougher one cuts in.

What the...?

The three shadowy figures step out of the darkness to reveal a man with blonde hair, one with white, and another with brown.

"Hallo, Frau." The albino smirks. "Would you be interested in a one-night fling?"

"Yes, we won't dissapoint!" The blondie winks.

"Guaranteed!" The brunette smiles.

"U-um, no..." I slowly back away as  they corner me against the dry wall. They take my hands and start to force them behind my back. "H-hey! Let me go! Leave me alone!"

Emil, someone- save me!

"Hey!"

"Vhat zhe...?" The men freeze as turn towards the voice. I follow their gaze and see Emil.

H-he came!

"She said to leave her alone." He stares menacingly at the men.

"And, if we dont?" The blonde questions.

"Then I'll have to take care of you myself." Emil readies his fists and starts towards the men. As they back away, Emil punches the albino in the jaw.

"H-hey!" The white haired man scowls at Emil. "Vhat vas zhat for?!"

"Come on, Gilbert," the brunette grasps his shoulder. "We don't want any trouble."

"Oui." The blonde cowers away.

"Fine." Gilbert sighs. He puts on his trademark smirk and turns to me. "Until next time, liebling."

Emil and i watch as the three scamper away. "What cowards," Emil tsks. "Are you alright?"

"I-I'm fine," i smile at him. "Thank you for saving me."

He pauses, staring into my eyes. He held my gaze for what felt like forever. "No problem." He hesitantly takes my hand and pulls me along with him.

"W-Where are we going?"

"My house, why?"

"U-uh... Your house?"

He freezes and turns his gaze to me, a scowl on his face. "You are staying with me, get with the program."

I gasp and take a step back. His expression softens as he looks at me. "I'm sorry, i thought my brothers had told you."

"It's alright..." My cheeks flush under his gaze and he continues walking.

We walk to his house, which was significantly close to the Café. "Alright, here are the ground rules: no leaving you crap on the floor, remember to put the toilet seat up when you are finished and don't feed my bird, understand?"

"Y-yes, Emil."

"Oh, and one more thing," he continues as he unlocks the door. "If you want to stay alive; don't lay a single finger on my black licorice."
