Andrew:

My jaw slowly fell slightly, my lips parted. This can't be happening...

I didn't know her father well. But I do know he is a great man.

Life takes good people away...and the bad people stay.

I just held her in my arms, she was sitting on my lap, gazing at the water. I pressed my lips on her head, kissing her head softly.

She didn't move, just stared at the water. I played with her hair, wanting to distract her a bit. She didn't budge.

Sighing, I layed back on the muddy ground, bringing her down with me. She just layed her body on top of mine.

This time, her lips quirked up into a very small smile. Making me smile back at her.

So, we just stayed there. Enjoying the melody of silence. Just the water making quiet noises and the birds chirping quietly in the trees.

This is all I need.

Me, her, and silence.

...wait, didn't she just talk?
