She reaches out her hand,
but is quick to pull back.
They may seem close
but they are in a place she cannot comprehend.
Upon this classroom
there are many.
One of whom
she could befriend.
But she is reluctant
to take a single step.
For her dark secret
will always hold her back.
She takes her seat,
laying her head to rest.
Although,
one of them could make a difference,
but she'd sooner give up
than take a chance.
They too,
would rather engulf this room with laughter
than hear a muffled voice desperately weeping.
And in the end,
no one will hear her plea.
As lively as this room seems,
it might as well be empty.
