Will You Be My Girlfriend?

Kirstie's POV: 

It's been two months since the last time I talked with Mitch. He's really ignoring me. In every band practice, we never make eye contact nor greet each other. It's not a good tension. Maybe I need to give up on him and move on. There's this guy I met couple days ago, his name is Adam and he's taking me on a date tonight. 

I get so excited somehow, but I do miss Mitch like crazy. I've been at home for 1 straight months and only goes out for band practice. Esther set this date up. Adam is an old friend of Esther that came visit her recently so she introduced him to me. His kinda a nice guy though so why not give it a try. 

"Hey Kirstie, want some bacon and eggs?" Esther asked. She's currently at my house to accompany me from this loneliness. 

"Sure, thank you babe." I replied. 

I am just relaxing on the couch when there's a knock in the door. Adam's too early this is only like 5:30 PM and he said he will be here by 6 PM. So I opened the door to reveal the only guy that breaks my heart couple of times but I still love. Mr. Grassi. 

"Hey Kirstin! Uhm may I talked to you. Nice to meet you Kirst!" He said nervously. 

"Yeah okay." Inside I am screaming to myself why the hell do I let him in? Whatever I missed him anyway. 

Mitch's POV: 

"I know we've been distant lately. I'm sorry for that but I'm just trying to figure out what have I done and my feelings towards you. And I realised that Kirstin, I'm in love with you. The truth is that I've never been not in love with you this whole time, I was just afraid of being with you. I know I'm a jerk, I'm so afraid of not having the label 'gay' and afraid of what people will think about me."

"Mitch.. I..." I cut her off 

"But you don't make a fool out of yourself, I know that because you show me that you love me. Though sometimes I ignored it. I'm sorry Kirstin for leaving you in the dust for this 2 months. I realise that I just want to be gay but not necessarily in love with guys. Travis, Laura or whoever was a mistake. But you're not." 

"Mitch.. I'm speechless." 

"Kirstin, will you be my girlfriend?" 

"Hey Kirstie! Here's your food. Oh hi Mitch!" Esther said. Well this turns to be perfectly awkward. 

There's a knock in the door, and some guy enters Kirstie's apartment after Esther let him in. 

"I'm sorry Mitch I gotta go, we'll talk about this later." I sighed as I watched her leave with another guy. Maybe I just need to go home, maybe I'm also too late. Kirstie found someone better than me. 

"Hey Mitch! I heard everything you said to Kirstie! Don't be sad. I know Kirstie would choose you over that Adam kid. But what took you so long to come to her?" 

"Yea I'm sorry Esther, I just needed time to think. But maybe it's too late anyway. Bye Esta gotta get going or else Scott will be worried." 

"Okay bye babe!"
