That a day would come
When I'd be the one to apologize, even when I wasn't wrong
To call you back-when you walk away
To hope-that it was all a big mistake
To dream-that this will end well
To be hurt-when it doesn't
To break down-because you left
To struggle against the pain of rejection-
Not because I thought I was above it
Or better than the next
Not perfect-
But because it was the ceasing of my life with you
When everything was from you
And everything was for you
I never realized...that there will be nothing without you
Until I accepted
Without regret
Until I finally said goodbye,
