Your smile made my whole world brighter,
A single memory would make my heart beat faster…
Your playful eyes could see deep within my soul….
Why then, would you stand there and watch me…while I fade away?
Did you not know that I would give anything?
Just to have you back in my life again
That I would have fought that battle gladly each day
Just so you wouldn’t leave me alone…to fade away….
Without you, I grow weaker. I lose a little more of me each day.
Life is never the same, will never be the same…
Not since that day-
It’s gone.
You’re gone…
Thoughts tumble, jumble, I look around, fumble…fall over and crumble
And I’m swallowed by desolation, no will to move on,
My body feels broken, twisted, tattered like the frayed ends of my being,
And I’m holding on to one thought, one moment one wish-
I’ll see you, if you let me see you again.
Beloved, I’ve learned to exist like this.
Still, there’s one thing I need to know,
Will you lead me along gently to the end of my road?
Or would you just stay there and watch me, while I fade away?
