Three days.

Karson's been staying with me and it's like heaven.

I wake up with her in my arms, I watch her paint until we head to school, I eat with her and then I go to sleep holding her.

It's the end of the day when she comes into my office with a split lip.

"Baby..." I whisper as she approaches me.

"He...He told me that if...I don't come home...tonight that he'll kill you."

I pulled her into a hug as she started to cry.

"I'll be fine."

"But you don't know what Smith is capable of."

"I don't care.He can't have me or you."

"But I need you.

"Come stay with me. We'll protect each other."

"But he knows where you live..."

"Than we'll figure it out,but I can't loose you."

She looked at me with so much love that I couldn't hold it in.

"I love you.I can't loose you Karson...You're my everything."

That night when I felt move from my arms I knew that she was trying to protect me, even though it could cost her her life.
