Dad wasn't impressed with my date to the dance. He said I deserved better- I agreed. Alec would of been better.

I ran up the stairs after dinner, to get ready. I took a shower, combing my hair on the way. When I came out, I dried myself. Smelling good was a priority. I lathered on all of my expensive lotions on my skin.

Then, I brushed my hair, until it there wasn't any knots. I curled it into a perfect bun.

My pale lavender strapless dress, that came a little under my thigh hugged my body, as I carefully slipped I on. With my pale lavender wedges, I was ready.

I quickly added some mascara, nude color eye shadow and light pink lipstick. Oh, plus my designer white purse.

I rushed down the stairs. Stacey was there, wearing her white long dress, that pooled the floor. If I hadn't known better, I would of thought she was going to her wedding. I had an awful temptation to step on her dress, but Dad would of caught me and I would be in more trouble than I already am.

The door bell rang. Vinny!

I ran to open the door, but instead, It was Alec.

"Can I talk to you?" He whispered.

I nodded, smirking. We went outside, walking  on the sidewalk.

"What did you spike in my lemonade that day?" He asked.

I smirked.

"Spike? I wouldn't do that!" I said.

I mockingly put a hand over my heart, feigning hurt.

His eyes narrowed into slits.

"I swear, do that again I will personally-"

His sentence was interrupted by the beeping of a car.

Vinny was here.

"Good bye, Alec baby." I cooed.

I got into his car. The seats were luxury leather.

"Hey baby doll." He said in husky voice.

His breath reeked of booze and I was disgusted. But I guess everyone has their roles to play, so I blushed.

He didn't even wait for me to respond, instead, he jerked forward, his sleek car rushed through the night.

*-*

When we reached there, not many people were there. Stacey was, next to Florance and Alec. Ugh.

They transformed the whole gym, instead of the boring, brown hardwood floors, they had lights above, making the floors a molten gold color. There were tables, and upon them a chocolate fountain, fruits, drinks and boxes of pizza, stacked on top of each other.

The D.J-who was a D.j. for middle schooler's- was there. He had on Kids Bop music blasting. Seriously, what were we, kids?

Vinny didn't seem to care, because when a song by Adele started to play, he got overly-emotional and started sobbing his heart out. Um, no.

"I'm going to the bathroom." I say.

I ditched that guy.

I was swaying my hips, heading over to the punch table. Then, stepped on my foot from behind me, hard. I swirled around, my face all red.

The boy behind me looked sheepish. He had upturned, messy brown hair.

I stared at him, frozen.

Caleb.
