Chapter Seventeen:
Once Lulu and I leave the bathroom, we run into Jeydon in the hallway.
"Are you ok?" He asks, concerned and pulling me into a hug.
"I'm fine." I tell him. I look around at the other people from our class that are also in the hallway, getting to their next class. They're all staring at us. Go ahead, stare. Like I care.
"Come on, lets get out of here." He says, pulling his keys out of his pocket.
Im actually really glad he suggested leaving. The last thing i want to do right now is be corwded by people asking what happened. I bet there's already been gossip and rumors spread about what happened just five minutes ago. That's high school for you. We all get into Jeydon's mustang, Lulu got in the back and me in the passengers seat. I turn on the radio and Troublemaker plays. I can't help but sing along.
"Why does it feel so good to hurt so bad," I sing with this stupid grin on my face.
"I swear you're giving me a heart attack!" Jeydon and Lulu join in. We all start laughing.
The wind blowing in my hair feels so good. "Where are we going?" I ask Jeydon.
"Well where do you want to go?"
I stare out the window and the first thing I see is the park. "How about the park?" I suggest.
Jeydon makes a turn and parks in the parking lot. He quickly gets out of the car and opens the door for me.
"What a gentleman," I giggle.
Lulu rolls her eyes. "Sorry if I seem like a cockblock for you two lovebirds."
I take note to get revenge on her for that comment. Jeydon seems to try to ignore but still blushes. He sits on the grass and starts pulling grass out. We join him.
"I'm really sorry about Elizabeth." He squints at the sunlight.
"Don't worry about it." I reassure him. I pull a piece of grass out. "Hey, so, umm..about last night, did you like it? Actually, no. Rate it. On a scale from one to ten."
He chuckles. "Did you like it?"
"I asked first!"
He laughs. "Okay, okay, fine. One to ten? Hmm..negative five."
My mouth gapes open as I playfully punch his arm. "Jerk."
"Allright you want an honest answer? It was like nothing before. When I was kissing you, it seemed like nothing else in the world mattered."
"Oh, I was just going to give you a five but okay." I say trying to hide my smile and the fact that my heart was melting at what he just said.
"YOU GUYS KISSED?!" Lulu screams. I had forgotten she was even there.
"Heh, yeah. Guess I forgot to mention that." I looked at the ground.
Lulu's face went from shock to embarrassment. "Um, I should probably go..I got to work on my history project and yeah.." She gets up and dusts herself off before heading toward the sidewalk.
"Wait!" Jeydon calls. "Don't you need a ride?"
"I think I'd rather walk!" She says without turning back.
How could I blame her? She probably felt like an awkward third wheel this entire time. I decide to not get revenge on her for the cockblock comment. I feel like an awful friend.
