The day that girl opened her eyes she'd said to me that she wasn't ready to continue this life. She told me she didn't want to be my friend because she'd hurt me. I laughed at her. She didn't understand why I was laughing. Then she had asked me why. Still laughing I pushed my sleeves up and removed the several bracelets that littered my wrists. The faint scars that ran along them made her eyes water as she took my arm in her hands. She hadn't said a word to me for hours, as she just stared at them. "I love you." I'd said to that girl as she slept that day. That day she sighed in her sleep and replied to me. It had made my heart burst open as I stared at the sleeping girl in front of me. "I know." Were the words the fluttered my heart for days.
