I'd went to school the day after that girl walked into her house when I took her home from the hospital. My friends, Grey, Michael, Calum, and Luke were understanding as to why I was missing a bunch of school. I asked Grey what Michael did to make her love him and she just laughed at me and told me you couldn't buy a girls heart. Although Grey wasn't a normal girl, and neither was Emerald. Grey said to just be nice to her, no matter what she'd say to me. Even if she said she hated me and she never wanted to see me again. During lunch I would watch how Grey and Michael interacted with each other. Sharing cigarettes during class breaks, stealing kisses in class, and sharing pencils when Michael frequently lost his. They were cute together, everyone knew it, and even if you didn't like them together, you sure didn't let anyone know. And I wanted that. I wanted that with my Emerald.
