Do You Remember?

Do you remember the day we first met?

Beside the tranquil sea near the wood.

We talked for hours, it felt like years.

Little did we know, it changed our lifes for good.

Do you remember the time we first kissed?

That electric excitement that coursed through me,

The way your velvet lips was in sync against my own...

That was the start to many nights by the sea.

Do you remember when you had confessed your love?

Taking me by the hand with a blindfold over my eyes.

You soothed my impatience to 'Trust you and wait',

I did and with only love, you made me realise.

Do you remember our first home?

A white cottage beside the sea.

Our peaceful heaven - forever and always,

A place I wish you could be.

Do you remember our children being born?

You so nervous, holding my hand tight.

Cheerful and joyful with a bonce,

When our young were lively and full of might.

Do you remember me?

The old crone with your stolen heart.

Oh, I miss you and wished you were set free,

From your forgetful mind being torn apart.
