You were sitting the back of Parker's car with Liam right next to you, a little too close to you, honestly. As the car drove and got closer to your house, your heartbeat sped up with every passing block, your clammy hands began to get more sweaty, the nervous jitters swarming all over your body intensified, and the heat on the back of your neck got hotter with every passing street light. You were more than nervous. You had no idea why Liam came and you had no idea how Jackson and Isaac would react to his unexpected surprise visit. Well, you had a small inkling, but just couldn't get past the idea that he was here.

Just hours ago you kissed Isaac and you were supposed to talk to him about it and what it meant for the both of you after your shift ended, but that conversation had to be put on hold. You honestly had no idea how Isaac would react. Would he be mad? Would he be jealous? Would he want to kill Liam? Would he shift, causing Liam to shift and somehow your house would turn into some werewolf-fighting cage? You mentally sighed.

Liam placed his hand on top of your bouncing knee and gave it a gentle squeeze, causing you to pull out of your thoughts. You looked down at his hand on your knee, which was still there. It was a gentle gesture out of concern however; you couldn't help but notice how different and unusual it was for him to do that. He gave you another squeeze, causing you to look at Liam and lock your eyes with his. His ocean blue eyes were filled with excitement, causing his eyes to shine with happiness. It was a light you hadn't seen in a long time and something about that made you happy.

His huge smile faltered. "Why are you so nervous?" He whispered.

"There's no point in whispering," Parker flickered his eyes from the rearview mirror.

"Right," Liam mumbled, remembering Parker had werewolf hearing too.

"I'm not nervous," You answered Liam's question.

"Liar." Parker whispered under his breath. You glared at Parker through the rearview mirror.

"I'm just so excited you're here." You smiled; hoping he or Parker wouldn't hear your lying heart.

"I'm excited too," the corner of Liam's lips turned up, spreading a huge smile on his face. God, I've missed that smile, you thought to yourself.

"So, why don't you drive?" Liam asked.

"She's scared to drive," Parker chuckled.

"I am not!" You snapped quickly. "I'm just not used to driving on the opposite side of the road... yet," you mumbled as you looked down at your fumbling fingers.

You stopped fumbling your fingers as soon as Liam's hand landed on top of them, "I'd probably be the same way the first few months."

You couldn't help but smile while still looking his hand on top of your fingers, "Thanks," you whispered.

Your smile quickly faltered as Parker pulled into the driveway.

Liam let out a small whistle; "This is a nice house for three teenagers."

"Thanks." You opened the door and let Liam step out of Parker's car before closing it. You walked over to the driver's side as Liam grabbed his suitcase from the trunk. "As always, thanks for the ride Parker. I'll see you the day after tomorrow."

"Good luck and call me if you and Jackson need help taming Isaac." You playfully slapped Parker's shoulder, earning a chuckle from him. "You know I'm right. He's going to explode."

"Good night, Parker." You turned around and looped your arm around Liam's as you walked towards the front door.

"What was that about?" Liam asked as he kept up with your slow pace. "Why would Isaac explode?"
