Wow this took a lot longer to write than I planned, hope I can get better at writing faster, I want this done before school starts. I can't have my math teacher think I like him... awkward.

I'm glad to be starting this book again guys and I really hope you enjoy the story. I'm sure my friend would love it to know that people like this story. ;)

"I don't want to go to math class." I whined as Kenzie and I walked across the quad to make it on time.

"I figured you would want to go because of Mr. Kaynes or do you call him Alex? I mean I'd call him whatever he wanted." Mackenzie teased. She was taking over for Zoey's perverted ways now that she was gone.

"I don't want to go because of him!"

"Why not? Have you seen the man? He's like a god!"

"He's frustrating!" I said walking into class causing everyone to turn and look me. "Sorry guys." I apologized as I rushed to my seat to hide my face.

I heard someone clear his or her throat. I glanced around, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary until I caught Mr. Kaynes looking at me. He had one eyebrow lifted with a slight head tilt to convey his curiosity to me. I had a feeling he knew I was talking about him and even if he didn't I was going to keep it a secret. I just smiled at him knowing that he would look away, but he didn't. He shook his head and smirked to tell me he had something planned for us.

I rolled my eyes and slouched in my seat, knowing what he was about to say.

"I have the results of your placement exam. Don't worry this doesn't go on your grade, but if you have less than a fifty percent then you need to see me after class. I will find you a tutor and it only has to be between us and your tutor, which I will assign." Mr. Kaynes said as he started to pass papers back to their owners.

I knew I hadn't done well because Mr. Kaynes didn't let us use a calculator. I was completely useless without one unless it was one plus one. I didn't need to see my score, I needed a tutor and the score would just make me feel bad about myself. That's if I actually got into the double digits I mean, but something told me I had a single digit score. It wouldn't surprise me, I couldn't do equations in my head and the problems were hard.

Mr. Kaynes placed the paper on my little desk and looked at me with one eyebrow lifted. I could see a faint smirk creasing his lips as he slid the paper to me and walked away. Mackenzie must have gotten anxious waiting for me to look so she snatched the test from my desk and cringed.

"Oh, Kelsey I didn't know you were that bad in math."

"What is it?" I asked taking the test from her.

In big red block numbers was a 46 out of 100; well at least I got into double digits. I glanced at my paper again to see another persons name on scrawled across it. Jason Marbles, who has the last name Marbles? Probably says a lot about his package. I slapped myself mentally; I was starting to think like Zoey.

"For those of you that got below a fifty there will be another name written on your paper. That is someone who has gotten a score in the 90's. Your name is also on their paper, you may meet whenever you please, but I will know if you haven't meet by the next test. I would meet now and then plan to get together to start and learn about each other. You'll be spending a lot of time together." Mr. Kaynes said as he dismissed the class.

"Well, I'm sure your tutor will be interesting." Mackenzie said with sarcasm dripping from her words.

"I have a feeling that I'll hate that smart ass." I said as I shoved everything into my backpack. I turned around once everything was put away and ran into someone who was standing behind me. "Ow! Couldn't have said something?" I asked rudely as I clutched my nose from the impact.
