Serrano was Serronie's father. He was 6 feet and 7 inches tall. He had a island tan and long light brown dreadlocks. They ran seven inches beyond his shoulder blades. He had signature dark gray eyes also. Serrano was a hardass. He came up tough in the Caribbean and spent his early years in the army. That's how he ended up in the Middle East, that's where he met his wife, Ukashni. To the world, he was made of bricks and steel, but he had a soft spot for only his family.
Ukashni had a similar upbringing as her husband. In the Middle East, Persia, she and her family faced a considerable amount of oppression because they were of African descent. She wore a hijab and stayed covered from head to toe. Upon meeting Serrano, he'd never seen a face so beautiful and that's what he fell in love with. He changed her life. He broke her spell of religion, and showed her a freedom she'd never thought was possible.
Once he married, Ukashni, and she became pregnant with Ulani, he was hoping for a son. When Ulani was born, he wasn't at all disappointed. Ulani's infant gray eyes sparked a paternal fire in Serrano that he didn't know was possible. She turned out to be so much like her dad, because he kept her attached to his hip. She wrestled and boxed in high school. She was tall like Serrano, took her mother's black hair and curvy figure, only more voluptuous. She had waist-length dreadlocks, they matched the course texture of her dad's. Ulani stood at 5'10, but she loved wearing heels, so she always seemed much taller. She was intense, bold, and headstrong just like Serrano. In confrontations, she didn't fancy talking much, she loved to fight.
Khari, the second born, was a fair fusion of both parents. She had a darker complexion than Serrano, but a lighter one than Ukashni. Her hair also came out dark, and he eyes were dark brown, as Ukashni's. She was tall and lean, more petite than Ulani. So she dabbled in cheer-leading, and volleyball. Khari was always the perfect balance between logic and insanity. She was known for being Ulani's voice of reason.
Serronie was the last born, the runt of the family. She was the easiest pregnancy and the smallest baby. She was the only on that expressed the trait of both Serrano's sun-kissed brown hair and his gray eyes, as a package. She was of a rich, darkened caramel tone, exactly like her mom. They had the exact same facial features and body shape. Topping out at 5'3", she looked up to everyone in her family. Her meek nature also made her a target for mean-natured kids, therefore, Ulani and Khari fought plenty on her behalf. Fear and conservation ruled Serronie, making her even more of an opposite of her oldest sister.
But they were a unit. Ukashni and Serrano built a bastion of a family. In rough times and easy times, they were always involved. When Serronie got pregnant, she shut her family out, and that's how they knew something was wrong. She avoided them and stalled her parents and siblings out for the three months she was aware of her pregnancy. When everything crumbled down, and she ended up in the hospital, Zachary had to break the news to them. As a family, it was a tough blow.
In their natural fashion, Ulani and Serrano had the most extreme extreme reactions. Ukashni was an emotional wreck. Khari was the backbone that supported the family. Serronie couldn't do it; because, she had to leave for professional help. Upon her return, the family willingly offered themselves up to Serronie.
Ulani was a bit more aggressive in her protective fashion over Serronie. She expressed discomfort just like her father, through anger. Khari took more of space backseat to Serronie, she just hated the thought of emotionally smothering her. But above all, Serronie's well-being was everyone's business, and they all tried to do their parts.
