Finally! It is the weekend! Mom and dad will finally be home tonight! All day I have been cleaning the house and surprisingly Connor helps me.
"There all done." I say plopping on the couch. Connor does the same actions and he makes me fly up a little.
"Damn girl try not to fly off the couch." Connor says with a weird accent. I can't help myself but actually laugh at him for the first time in a long time. Connor joins my laughter and we look at each other calming down. I have missed having Connor as my brother like this. We used to be so close.
"I miss you. I miss this." I say looking at our living room ceiling.
"I do too. I am really sorry Ren I promise I will stand up for you as much as I can." Connor says gently grabbing my hand. I smile to myself and nod my head.
"Connor I forgive you." Are four words I never thought I would say ever in a life time.
