part 8-FIRST KNOCK OF SADNESS

I entered the mall with ammi,abbu and Maha behind me dreading that my birthday could actually turn out to be the worst birthday ever

Pehle toh sab log mera birthday bhool gaye aur phir yeh rishta aur woh bhi meri nikaah ka
Pehle Shehry ko toh bache hojate uske baad mera nikaah karwate

I was so lost in my thoughts that i didnt even realise that i bumped into a girl and made her drop her shopping bags when we accidentally bumped into each other

I bent down to help her pick her shopping when our foreheads collided
Ouch!!!!!
I looked at that girl and she was beautiful

Big brown hazelnut eyes,lips as soft as rose petals,cheeks as white as ebony....her eyes were enough to make me drown into them

She looked at me and i looked at her,our gaze was broken when one of her friends called her
Saajida,chalo ghar der ho rahi hai yaar

I looked and hurriedly helped her pick her bags and then she thanked me and walked away

Saajida.....meri Saajida!!!!!!

Ammi and Abbu led me into the clothing section where Abbu selected a three piece suit for me and i was to go and try it in the trial room whilst Abbu paid for it

I put on the suit and looked at myself in the mirror....
Not bad,Sain!!!!!

We then walked out if the mall after buying a beautiful purple sari for Zeenat....
As we reached the car parking,abbu got a call from someone which made his mood turn into a solemn one

He said that Kassim uncle and Zeenat were not at home at therefore we cannot visit them

Bach gaya tu Sain!!!!!

I breathed a sigh of relief as we sat in the car and proceeded for home

Shehry pov
According to the plan,i had to call abbu as kassim uncle to tell him that today the meeting of Zeenat and Sain is not possible at all today

We all hid ourselves and swiched off the lights of the whole house and waited anxiously for Sain to arrive home

Khadeeja had invited our new neighbours....two girls who had moved in recently,Saajida and her friend Fakhriya to come over for Hussain's birthday

I went and hid myself near Khadeeja behind the sofa.I gently tapped Khadeeja on the shoulder and she got scared out of her wits...beads of sweat had formed on her forehead

Khadeeja,tum theek toh ho????
Tumhe hua kya hai...itna darr kyu gayi....aur ooparse tumhe itna saara pasina bhi chooth raha hai

Before Khadeeja could reply,the door creaked open and as usual Hussain's ranting started

Mujhe toh laga,Khadeeja bhabhi toh yaad karengi...lekin woh bhi bhool gayi hai
Kamaal hai yaar...yeh tih acha hua ki meri shaadi fix nahi hui warna apne birthday ke dinhi mein halaal karne wala baqra banjata

Suddenly,Waqas came out from his hiding place and switched on the lights as Atif burst the balloon hanging on the ceiling and there occured a confetti shower on Hussain

The smile on his face was worth looking at...
Ammi came forward and after wishing Sain kissed him on his forehead
Abbu hugged Sain as well...and blessed
Waqas,Atif and i...the awesone threesome hugged Sain
Khadeeja just came firward and blessed Hussain

Saajida and Fakhriya came forward to wish Sain as well...but Sain kept on staring at Saajida as she stood there blushing

Lagta hai Sain ke dil mein ddlj aur pyaar ki ghanti bajj gayi hai

The cake cutting ceremony came and Khadeeja brought the cake she had baked
Everyone fed Sain and Atif and Waqas actually spread cream on his face
I stepped forward to tease Sain as usual

Hayee!!!!
Mera bandar kitna cute lag raha hai
Ek birthday bandar ke saath toh selfie banti hai

We all gathered around Sain and took a selfie with him
Time for gifts!!!!!
Everyone brought their gifts forward

Ammi and Abbu gifted Sain a huge frame with his best pic so far
Khadeeja and i brought forward the collage of Sain's pics and everyone oohed and aahed over it

Waqas gave Sain an i-phoneS6
Atif presented a Rolex gold watch which was diamond studded
Saajida and Fakhriya gave Sain a t-shirt and aviators
Maha being the youngest brought forward her gift leaving all of us in tears

It was a t-shirt that held a special message...

Dearest brother...though sometimes you can be irritating there can be no one to replace you
The warmth of your arns when i cuddle into you gives me a sense of protection
Thats why,as you celebrate your birthday today
I just wanna thank God for my special gift
My brother!!!!!
I love you
Happy birthday bhai

Tears fell from everyone's eyes at that message and Sain had literally missed out on words to say

Khadeeja pov
As i stood next to Shehry,i felt a wave of dizziness again but managed to control myself to avoid Shehry getting worried unnessecarily

I excused myself to go to the kitchen on the pretext if having water but before i could reach the kitchen,i vomited near the dining table

Shehry immediately came to my rescue with a glass of water but before i could manage a sip,the wave of dizziness engulfed me with a clothe of darkness

I heard a faint shout of my name
Khadeeja!!!!!
After that,total blackout!!!!!!!!!

When i regained conciousness,i was in the hospital
In the ICU....but what was i doing there?????

I looked and saw Shehry clutching my hand and crying
My mouth felt dry
I wanted to talk but no words seemed to escape my lips

I gradually brought my other hand forward and ruffled Shehry's hair as i always do
He looked at me with blood-shot eyes

He was weeping!!!!!
"Khadeeja,please dont leave me...i have just found a friend,a companion..please dont leave me"

Shehry then hugged me really very tightly

His words continued ringing in my mind

Please dont leave me!!!!

Why was Shehry saying this????
What is wrong with me????
What has happened to me????
