The Doctor stopped dead, frozen in time, no emotion passing his face.

"What's the matter Doctor?" Missy smiled mischievously. "Something I said?"

"What did you do to him Koschei? I swear if you hurt that man I will make you rot in Hell like the demon you are", River boomed.

"Charming... I can see why the Doctor married you Melody Pond", Missy retorted. "Yes, yes, I know who you are. The engineered psychopath that fell in love with your target. Couldn't even finish the job without forcing time to break down".

"It doesn't matter who I am", River murmured, going very quiet at the refreshing of her darkened past. "What matters is what you want? Is it fun? Are you doing this for fun? Because most people just watch TV or I graffiti ancient civilisations".

"No, I am not doing this for fun. Fun is for mere mortals, and if I wanted fun at least one of the people in here would be dead", she shot a twinkling glare at Clara who scoffed and shuffled nervously. "No, I want the Doctor's secrets, on a silver platter in front of me. Or even better, gold". She confidently walked up to the Doctor, taking out the confession dial from his inside jacket pocket.

"So this is what this is all about?" Clara ridiculed, clattering along the metal flooring, pointing at the burnished disk sitting in Missy's hand. "All along you wanted the Doctor's secrets".

"No, I wanted Gallifrey", Missy answered, cutting off any foolish conversation the puppy would hope to create.

"And he has to be dead for it to open..." River softly said, her face covered in realisation. "Why don't you just shoot him? I've done it at least twice, I've worn him down a bit".

"Psychic splicing is much less painful and plus shooting him would take forever", she smiled, looking quite impressed at River's sudden switch between good and bad. "See I do care". Missy looked at Clara again, gleaming blue eyes, hoping for any reaction.

"All the Doctor's secrets. Your mind wouldn't be able to take it", Donna piped up.

"You did. You took it. And just remember, you're a human".

"No, I am a hybrid. And I will never be able to be human again. Thanks to you", Donna started wandering down the silvery steps and everyone had only just noticed she had changed from her work suit into a violet floor length jersey dress. "See that's your problem Missy, you never see what you're doing. You see it as something you get something out of, but that will never happen. Not if you do something right. I saw you giving my memories as something amazing, but now I see it as just a pawn in your plan. A plan to get back to Gallifrey".

"Please Mum, don't do this", Ashildr whispered in a tiny voice. She was stood next to Donna, clinging to her arm like a child to its mother, with huge, fearful eyes. This had caught Missy off guard, no person had ever called her mother, no one could. And now all this brought back the realisation that she did have a daughter, but also fuelled her desire for a better life for them both.

"You don't get it, do you?" she shouted across the room. "I'm doing this for us. For us to live on Gallifrey together".

"But it involves the Doctor not being there, and a life without the Doctor...", Ashildr started, and felt tears burn up behind her eyes. "Is a life I don't want to live".

"Nor me", Clara piped up.

"Nor me", Donna continued.

"Nor me", River said. Missy looked around the room in disbelief. She had been outnumbered, there was no one backing her up. With a elongated sigh, she dropped the psychic hold on the Doctor, sending him choking on the ground.

"And what the Hell was that for?" he yelled, holding his throat. They all huddled to help him up, but Ashildr noticed Missy heading for the TARDIS doors.

"Mum, where are you going?" she asked as Missy started wandering into the twilight blue sky outside. Tiny golden stars flickered dimmer and lighter, like broken Christmas lights, and a galaxy swirled in the distance, a magnificent magenta spilling across the horizon.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" she replied nonchalantly with her hands folded behind her back. "Couldn't you just stand and watch it forever".

"Doctor!" Ashildr called into the TARDIS, making him stand beside her in the doorway. "Mum's going to do something, I don't know what, but something's going to happen".

"Missy, stop. Just, just, come here a second. I have a gift", The Doctor beckoned to her, sparking a smile of curiosity from the Time Lady's face.

"A gift?"

"A cyberarmy for a meta-psychopathic eraser". He said holding out a device to her. It was silvery and about the size of a fist, with pieces of wire coming off it. She walked towards him and flung the device into her own hands. "Go on then, ask me". He mimicked her playful lilt from when he first met her female incarnation.

"What does it do"?

"Good question. It removes the psychic condition from your mind. Think of it as a hole puncture for your drumkit". Missy's eyes lit up in delight.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she beamed, hugging him lovingly. He planted a kiss on her forehead and in return she planted one on his lips. Her smile then faded, seeing River and Clara staring from the door. "You're going with them, aren't you?"

"I have to, I'm sorry, but we will meet again, Koschei Delta".

"I'm sure we will Theta Sigma. And we will run".

"Don't we always". He started walking back to his blue box, not looking back at her, but instead leaving a single message telepathically in her mind. "I love you".

Ashildr sighed. "So what do we do now?" Missy looked down at the device sat in her hand, then noticed a Post-It note stuck to the bottom of it. It read '903:8765:322/0.5. See you there' and she immediately knew where her next destination was. Home...
