3 Months Later

I was now 7 months pregnant and I had moved in with Adam the month after we got engaged. We agreed on having the wedding after the twins were born. I was furiously planning the wedding minus a few minor details. Adam and I bought clothes for the twins and finished decorating their rooms.

I woke up to the sound of the phone ringing. I rolled over and grabbed it off the nightstand. "Hello?" I said. "Hey babe," said a familiar voice. I rolled over and saw the empty space next to me. "Where did you run off to?" I asked Adam who was on the other side of the call. "I ran errands for my mom, which reminds me, she wants to have us over for lunch," He said. "Alright, what time?" I asked him. "11:00. I'll come back to the house to pick you up," He said. I looked at the clock on my nightstand. It was already 10:00. "Ok, cya soon babe." I said. "Cya soon, I love you." He said. "I love you too," I said before I hung up.

I climbed out of bed and headed straight to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and climbed into the shower. I let the warm water run down my skin. I had never met Adam's mom or his two half siblings, Sam and Liza, before. Adam had told me a lot of stories, but I had never met them in person.

I climbed out of the shower and pulled on my bra and panties. I walked into my closet and picked out a floral patterend maxi dress, which I paired with gold gladiator sandals. I went back into the bathroom and looked at my body in the mirror.

I was only 7 months pregnant, but I looked like I was ready to pop. I rubbed my swollen torso, when I felt the babies kicking. It shocked me, but I loved it. It made me smile, knowing that soon, Adam and I were going to have 2 beautiful children.

Most of my maternity clothes barely fit, so I was stuck wearing dresses and sweats all the time.

I walked downstairs and fed Maggie. I got strawberries, pineapple, mangos, and bananas out of the fridge and placed them on the counter. I poured some ice in the blender on the counter and added the fruit. After it was finished blending, I poured the smoothie into my travel cup and washed the blender container. I walked over to the kitchen table and sat down. I pulled out my iPhone to check my e-mails.

I heard the front door close and I watched Adam walk into the kitchen. "Hello beautiful," He said before he kissed my head. He bent down and kissed my torso. "Hi little ones, not causing mommy too much pain are you?" He said. "Just kicking," I said as he sat down next to me.

"Are you excited to meet Sam and Liza?" He asked me. "Yeah, I'm excited to meet your mom too," I said as I smiled at him. "They are all excited to meet you, I didn't tell Ma that you're pregnant, so prepare yourself," He said before he stood up and grabbed my hand. He helped me up and I grabbed my purse. We got in the car and drove to Adam's mom's house.

Once Adam parked in the driveway, he helped me out of the car, and we walked up to the step. Adam rang the doorbell and I heard footsteps approaching the door. The door whipped open and two kids stood there with smiles from ear to ear.

"Adam!" They exclaimed as they ran to hug him. "Hi Sam, hi Liza," Adam said as he hugged them. "Liza, Sam, this is my fianceè Brynn," He said. "Hi Brynn!" Sam said as he hugged me. "Hi Brynn!" Liza exclaimed as she hugged my leg. Adam's mom then appeared at the door. "Hi Ma," Adam said as he hugged her and kissed her cheek. "Hi sweetheart," She said. When she turned to look at me, her eyes went right to my stomach.

"Ma, this is Brynn, my fianceè." Adam said. "Hi Mrs. Levine," I said as I stuck out my hand. "Call me Patsy," She said as she shook my hand. Patsy led us inside and we all sat down in the family room.

"Are you having a baby?" Liza asked me as she sat down next to me. "Two babies," I said as I smiled at her. "A boy and a girl," Adam said. "Awesome!" Sam exclaimed. "Sam, Liza, why don't you go in the backyard and play with Adam." Patsy said. Sam and Liza grabbed Adam's hands and they ran into the backyard. Patsy sat next to me on the couch.

"So how far along are you?" Patsy asked. "7 months," I said. "Are you and Adam sending out the invitations for the wedding soon?" She asked. "They are going out next week," I said. "I'm happy you're joining the family Brynn. When Adam looks at you, his face lights up. He talks about you a lot. He really loves you," She said. "Thank you Patsy, that means a lot to me," I said.

After we ate lunch, Adam and I walked into the entryway and hugged Patsy. "Bye Sam, bye Liza," I said as I hugged both of them. "Bye Brynn," They both said. All of a sudden, I felt a burst and heard a popping noise. "Brynn, why did you just pee on the floor?" Liza asked. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. "What's going on!" Adam shouted. I looked at the ground and back at Adam.

"I'm in labor," I said.
