Should Christians listen to secular music?
There are many genres of music out there. Christians need to know and find their limit.
For example, we should know not to listen to things that go against God, teach sinful things or intend to corrupt the listener.
Fetty Wap and many other rappers have songs about getting money, girls man being powerful. Those are all things warned against in the bible.
I listen to som Ed Sheeran songs. He is not a Christian singer but he has some nice songs with great meanings such as Thinking out Loud and Photograph.
I wouldn't listen to songs by Drake or Nicki Minaj because they may thank God at their awards when they win, but they do nothing to promote him in their music.
The conclusion I came to is that Christians should learn to monitor what they take in. Whether it is a movie, book or song.
In the end, God is an always will be the judge. Think about God showing us a movie of our life. What would you want to see?
