Streets of gold.

In the nights at 4am

She walked the streets of gold

Her head of tastled raven curls

Held secrets never told,

And in her worn and stitched up heart

She held her deepest fears

While in her dried and bloodshot eyes

She held her broken tears.

Now this deeply troubled girl

She stood under the stars

She was still alive and breathing

As she watched rare passing cars.

And even though her hair was dark

She had a heart of gold.

And all her secrets never heard

We're causing her to fold.

And in the early hours

She lay the streets, dead cold.

For all the secrets never heard

Were just too much to hold.
