We spoke of the words we hate.
I told her I hated words like 'moist' and 'crusty'.
She told me she hated the word 'love'.
When I asked why, she told me because it's thrown around far too much.
I told her it was my favourite word because it's so full of meaning.
You say love, and it's strengths vary in different contexts.
You could say you love ice-cream and that is something incredibly simple.
But you could say you love the leaves in autumn and yet it's almost like a totally different emotion.
At the same time though, you could love a person, but it a much more powerful circumstance.
Love can be risk, heartbreak, faith, anxiety and so much more. It's like a word for a million other words, and that's why I love it, but that is also why she hates it.
