Cigarettes

My love for you was a cigarette.

Took a while to light and burned quickly,

And bits of me crumbled as you flicked me away.

You sucked the life out of me

And when you were finished with me

You stamped me out on the ground.

And while my love was still glowing embers,

You had already began to light another.

And repeat.
