Every part of the photo where it was possible to see my skin was highly overexposed and looked a bit like I would have got set on fire - but there was something else possible to see.

My wings.

It was blurry, but still everyone was able to see that there were big, black, wing-shaped objects behind my back.

"I'm sorry. I guess we've got some technical issues." the photographer excused himself - which made me feel slightly relieved - and pressed a few buttons on his camera "Let's try again now."

Another photo was taken but the problem didn't disappear and I felt highly uncomfortable because I knew that my real identity was possible to see on there. My wings were visible on those photos.

We took more photos but logically the problem didn't disappear. Obviously cameras had something special about them which made it possible for humans to see the oddities of angels.

"We can't take those pictures for our campaign!" Paula complained "Fix it."

Josh was silent for a moment but then he looked at his sister "Actually we could."

They could?!

Mrs. Heithan raised an eyebrow so Josh started explaining "It's possible to see the boxer shorts, so why not making it look like angels would be wearing them too?"

"This idea is-...well, it's better than losing the money we invested already." Mrs. Heithan sighed and look at the picture "Ok, fine. We'll use one of those."

She shook her head in frustration and walked out of the room while muttering "...-but we'll definitely never let this photographer work for us again."

I looked around, hoping that I could leave now because I already exposed too much of myself for today.

Mr. Heithan was the first one to leave and then the photographer told me to "just leave finally" -which I thankfully did.

I went back to the styling room and inside. Olivia had left by now because she was only there for styling, someone else would clean up.

After changing from the boxers into my suit I had a quick look at the clock, just to see that my job was done for today.
I walked outside and drove home - I already got used to driving.

At home I went through a kind of daily routine. Jacket off, walking in the kitchen, taking something to eat, walking in the living room, sitting down, laptop on and chilling.

The first thing I always checked as soon as I started my laptop were my emails. A lot of advertisement was in my inbox but I deleted it immediately.

Now there was only one email left. It said I got a message from Annie, so I opened the dating site and read the message.

"You're right - I think you are a psycho. Nevertheless, I looked at his profile and I've got to admit he's amazing."

I smiled to myself and replied to her message "Told you I'd find the right one! Will you meet up?"

In less than a minute Ann answered "We already did half an hour ago and I asked him if he'd like to go out with me, but he declined. He didn't explain why. I still think you are a freak but since you found him could you probably talk to him?"

"Of course. Always ready to care about the love lives of total strangers."

I closed the chat with Annie and opened a new one with Gale. Luckily I'm mostly a direct person-...angel, so I got straight to the point.

"Hello, Gale. I'm an acquaintance of Ann. She told me you met up today but you didn't tell her why you don't want to go on a date with her. Have you got any reasons for that?"

After sending the message I sat there for a few minutes, starring at my screen and waiting for an answer.
The website was showing me that he was online, so either he was ignoring me or he was a really slow typer - turned out to be the second option.

Finally, after ten minutes of waiting Gale replied "Yes, I got a good reason, but that's something personal."

"No reason can be good enough to push away the person you'll fall in love with."

"Dude, I met her one time. That doesn't mean I'd have to fall for her."

"I know. The decision that you two would fall in love was made when you were born, not when you met."

"Whatever...listen up. I don't want to meet her, so please leave me alone."

I shook my head while sighing. Someone please explain to me why humans are such complicated beings. "Tell me why and I'll leave you alone."

This time it took even longer until he answered and I was slowly starting to think that he wouldn't answer, but then a message arrived

"OK, you won. It's because Ann reminds me of my wife."

Great, another married man.

The feeling that I was going through a bad patch slowly started to grow inside of me. Usually, a long time ago, I was perfect at finding the perfect couple - obviously this changed.

Luckily another message of Gale arrived and interrupted my self-doubts.

"She deceased two years ago and I can't look at Ann without thinking of Juliette."
