I was standing in an office. All the furniture was white and even when you looked out of the window everything you could see was bright white light, but you could also see something else in the window - rather in the reflection of it. My wings were visible, which made it logical to me where I was.

I was at home.

In Gabriel's office. Means I am doomed.

It was never good to be in Gab's office because he was always the one telling us the bad news. Since he had to tell Lucifer that father doesn't accept his behaviour anymore Gabriel was the bogeyman of the family.

Gabriel entered the room and sighed while walking past me. Afterwards he sat down in his chair and leaned his elbows on the desk while folding his hands.

"Cupid, please, sit down." He nodded towards a chair in front of his desk.

I walked there and sat down. I never felt that uncomfortable in my whole life so far.
I tried to look relaxed but I was playing nervously with my hands and sat there as stiff as a stick.

Gabriel picked up some papers of his table and looked at them.

"Do you know that what you did is dangerous?" He asked while clenching his jaw and put the papers down, but he didn't let me answer. "You can't show your wings to anyone! Do you want to fall? Do you? Because if you want to then this is exactly how you do it!"

"I-..." I tried to explain to him what happened but I was interrupted.

"No!" Gabriel took a deep breath to relax "No. Look, I don't want you to leave us. I don't want to lose another brother, but our father is mad at you. He thinks you are trying to expose your real self to the humans and a lot of our siblings think so as well. They think you are dangerous to our race. I convinced them it was a mistake, but do not fail us again. Father won't be merciful for much longer."

"I know I messed up, but I didn't know they would use this pictures as an advertisement. I'm sorry, brother."

"It's not only that. You told a human your name. Just don't do it again." He shook his head and snapped his fingers so everything went white again.

I shot up and looked around. I was back in my flat, in my bed and the light of the morning sun was flooding the room. Immediately I got up and looked at the clock - it was 6 am, but I wasn't sure which day it was.
Teleporting to earth can cause unconsciousness for a few days or even weeks and you end up being naked, which I was. That's why I was senseless for so long as I first got here.

I jogged downstairs after putting on a suit and grabbed my laptop. After I started my laptop I looked at the date. Two weeks. I was unconscious for two weeks. Luckily I don't have to eat or drink, otherwise I would have died.

I will lose my job - the next one.

I moved a hand through my hair and opened my email account. 20 messages were in my inbox. Eight of them were of the dating website, but 12 were from Mr. and Mrs. Heithan.

The first one of my bosses said "Mr. Ferron, we're concerned because you disappeared at the party and didn't show up for two days. We're hoping to get an answer."

The fourth email said "In case you want to resign please let us know."

The ninth said "We'll fire you if you don't show up soon."

The twelfth was from 15 minutes ago "Mr. Ferron, we were pleased with your work but this changed. In case we don't receive an answer within the next hour you'll be fire."

I read the mail five times until I replied. I apologized and begged them to let me keep my job - I made up an excuse. I told them I would have had an accident and hadn't got internet connection till now.

While I was waiting for an answer I checked the rest of my emails. Before looking at them I thought I got a few messages of Gale or Ann, but it wasn't either of them.

They turned out to be from unknown users. I read all the messages and generally speaking they all said the same. They said they heard that I paired Annie up with Gale and if I could help them find someone as well.

I didn't think of going back to my job this way, but it was a start.

I looked at each of the profiles for a moment and then I sent all of them a message saying "Yes, I'll help you - that's what I am there for. Give me some time and I'll contact you as soon as I found your match."

Afterwards I returned to my inbox and saw a new message from Heithan's. I opened it and read it quickly.
Luckily I could go back to work. They even excused for putting so much pressure on me and told me they hope I'm doing better now. In case I would need more time to rest I could take a few days off before coming back to work but I knew I'd go back tomorrow.

For today I decided to stay up longer than usually and to look for partners for the people who asked me to help them.
