Chapter 4 Breakfast at Tiffany's

With a little smirk he got up in a jiffy and started to brushed his teeth along with me. We made funny faces in the mirror and then started to get ready for a good day. Once we were dressed we got down to the lobby to get our complimentary breakfast. Our stomach growled to the aroma of pancakes and bacon, but when the second we laid our eyes on the food we lost our appetites. I cringed at the sight of it. The 'pancakes' looked green and had other things on it. While the bacon looked undercooked and also looked green. "Blah" Chad said out loud. We exchanged looks and Chad said, "let's eat somewhere else" I nodded in agreement and we headed outside. I looked around while Chad drove closer and closer to VidCon. I said, "we should get something around VidCon" Chad nodded and said, "I was thinking the same thing" we eventually got to VidCon and didn't get anything. I was upset, because Chad said we would get something after, but I was hungry and I get grumpy doing things on an empty stomach. When we got into the middle of VidCon it was hectic. I was getting scared and was hyperventilating. I wanted to stick next to Chad while we explore more and do things. I looked over my shoulder expecting to see Chad, but he was gone. I felt light headed and was very scared. I didn't know what to do. I started to walk around to look for the bathrooms or outside, but I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. I was freaking out. I then felt a hand on my shoulder. It was a group of girls. One of the girls said in a snobby voice, "hey watch you're going!" And then another one added in "you're cutting in line!" I was nervous and apologized and asked, "what's this for?" Then one of them scoffed and interjected by saying, "it's the line for Diegosaurs' autograph" my heart raced. Diego? I thought. His name had always lingered In my mind ever since he left. I said my apologies and got into the back of the line. I wonder if he would recognize me after all this time. I waited and waited and there were about five girls left until it was my turn. Then I heard chads voice. He said, "boo" in an attempt to scare me. "Oh my god Chad!" I exclaimed and then asked "where have you been?" He chuckled and ignored my question. "Come on" he said in a baby voice, "let's go back to the hotel I'm tired" we had only been here for an hour and he left me alone. It made me angry that he left me and I didn't even get to explore anything, because I've been trying to look for an exit and waiting in line to see Diego. I didn't want to go back. "You can" I said in a passive aggressive tone. He got frustrated and said "fine" Like a brat that stomps his foot on the ground and throws a temper tantrum when he doesn't get what he wants. Chad then stormed out towards the car. Great he has the keys. I'm probably going to have to walk to the hotel. That was new. Chad has never spoken to me like that before and I really didn't like it. I lost my train of thought when a familiar voice called, "Next in line". I looked to see that, it was just Diego and I and it as if time was moving slower and slower as my heart was beating faster and faster. I saw that it was actually him, but he wasn't looking up, so he didn't know it was me. I had and idea to mess with him so I walk up and I said in a annoying voice that sounded like a stereotypical teenaged girl, "OMG ur Diegosaurs! Ahhhh OMG omg omg. I can't even!" He looked up with a 'what kind of fangirl am I dealing with; but as soon as his hazel eyes met mine met he relaxed and then within that sudden realization his eyes lit up. He stood up and almost knocked me over with a hug. We only hugged for about ten seconds but it felt much longer. After he released me from his hug he said with excitement, "what are you doing here! Well I can guess why, but still!" He seemed excited to catch up with me. I said, "I don't think you really wanna hear it" then my stomach growled so loud it sounded like it had an amplifier hooked to it. Diego chuckled then said, "come on you can explain it while we can get some breakfast, I'm hungry too and I could use a break to." He smiled at me with a big grin. God that stupid adorable smile. That smile of his gets me every time and I hate that it does. It makes me feel like he was giving me a big warm bear hug. It was nice but it made me sad at the same time, because it reminded me of how we used to be. He hangs his arm around me as he escorts me to the nearest exit. I then felt the warm embrace of the sun on my skin and I could finally breath fresh air. "Finally somewhere, where it's not stuffy" Diego interjected. I nodded in agreement as I started to wander into my thoughts. I hope Chad is okay with me hanging out with another boy. I hope Chad is okay. I hope Diego is okay. I wonder what Diego is thinking right now with all of this. I then snap back into the real world as I realize we were a couple blocks away from VidCon. I also realized that I haven't talked to Diego at all. We were just silently walking. I looked at Diego and I could see he was fixated at the sky filled with white fluffy clouds. I started to directed my attention to the sky as well. I then could see that we were headed towards McDonalds. They did serve breakfast all day, so why not. When we enter the place we waited in line then ordered our delicious breakfast and was given a number to wait for our meal. We looked around for a place to sit then I felt Diego lightly pulling my neck with his arm to tell me that he had found a spot and was already going towards it. I follow his lead and I think where we were going to sit. Once I had found he had picked a booth table that was somewhat secluded. He takes his arm off of me to sit down. I sat across from him so it would be easier to talk, but before I could breathe one word Diego had said, "so, tell me all that has happened since I left"
