{Second Lesson/Tami's POV}

I had music today and none of the girls were in the same class as me, Mr Olatunji is the coolest teacher but also knows how to take the piss out of people. I sat down in my usual seat and waited for Mr Olatunji to come in along with the rest of the class. I grabbed my headphones and phone before plugging my headphones in, I went to my playlist and hit shuffle before relaxing. The song that was playing was It Girl by Jason Derulo, I waited for the chorus before singing along

I sang along, I love singing but don't like singing in front of people since I'm scared of being judge. I mean I already get bullied so singing will give people more reasons to hate me

Just then I heard clapping, I quickly pulled out my headphones before looking behind me to find Mr Olatunji. I relaxed a little since it was a teacher and not a student

"Wow Tami, I've never heard you sing until today" Mr Olatunji said and I shyly blushed

"Don't like singing in front of crowds" I said

"You should really sing more since you're really good" Mr Olatunji said

"Thanks sir" I said

"I'm your teacher and it's my job to help my students" Mr Olatunji said while setting up for the lesson

"Yea but I don't do crowds" I said

"Hey, how about you performing during prom? It will help with your confidence" Mr Olatunji said and my eyes grow

"I-In front of the school? No no no. I can't" I said

"Oh come on Tami, no one will judge" Mr Olatunji said

"Yes they will" I said just as the bell went

"We'll talk about this later" Mr Olatunji

"No, we're not because I'm not doing it" I said just as everyone piled in, Mr Olatunji looked at me before sighing. There was no way I'm gonna perform in front of the school or even come to prom. Nope, not happening. I'm a nerd that should just stay home during them events, just nope...
