I fix my snapback so it's on backwards just as the door opened to reveal Mr Minter in jogging bottoms and a Adidas jumper
"You're early" Mr Minter said surprised and I frown before grabbing my phone and looking at the time to see I was early. I look at Mr Minter and smile innocently
"Oops, I didn't realise since my phone has been acting up lately and my alarm must of went off earlier than I thought" I said and Mr Minter nodded his head
"Come in anyways, might as well get to work so we could finish early" Mr Minter said and moved out the way
"Thank you Mr Minter" I said before walking in
"Tami. It's Simon, we are out of school hours" Simon said
"Sorry. I've gotten use to calling you by your last name than first name" I said and Simon chuckled
"Come on, follow me" Simon said before walking towards a room that looks like a kitchen, I stand in the doorway and watch as Simon moves around
"Tami, come in. Seriously, don't be shy" Simon said
"It's not normal for a student to be in a teacher's house" I said
"Think of it as a friend's house then" Simon said
"A friend who is my teacher" I said and Simon rolls his eyes
"Tami. Sit" Simon said and I nodded my head before walking to the island then sitting down. I place my bag down beside me
"What are you doing?" I asked as I watch Simon move around
"Making breakfast, I haven't eaten" Simon said and I instantly feel bad
"I'm so sorry Simon, I feel bad" I said and Simon chuckles
"Tami, stop. It's honestly fine" Simon said and I become quiet before looking around. I sigh and decide to help Simon, I stand up and go over
"Anything I could help with?" I asked
"Nah I'm fine" Simon said
"You sure? I don't mind helping" I said
"Yeah I'm sure Tami, go sit down and try starting on your work" Simon said and gave me a small smile, I nod my head before walking back to the island and sit down. I pick up my backpack and pull out my Mac along with my notebook then set them onto the island. I turn my laptop on and wait for it to load, I couldn't help but sing a little to a song I was listening to on my way here
"I'm a beat it like a Dum dee dee dee dee dum dum Pa pop it like a rum pa pa pum pum pum pum I'm a beat it like a Dum dee dee dee dee dum dum A dee dee dum dum A dee dee dum dum" I sang quietly and my Mac loads. I log in and open word
"What song is that? The one you were singing" Simon said and I jumped a little before looking at Simon
"It's a new song by British singer called Zack Knight. He is Asian, Punjabi to be specific. Song is called Dum Dee Dee Dum and it has Jasmin Walia on it as well. I love the song so much to be honest especially the beat because of how it kinda fits with the lyrics. Zack even throws in a little bit of Punjabi singing but he mostly sings in English. Not so much of a big fan of Jasmin but she did kill it on the track with Zack" I said and Simon chuckles
"You really are into music" Simon said and I giggled before nodding my head
"Yep. I love music and wanna get into something relating music but I'm scared to perform so I doubt it" I said and shrugged
"You should try getting into it more even if you are scared. You are really good and it deserves to be heard by others. You never know, you could get over that fear one day" Simon said before placing a plate beside my laptop

"This for me?" I asked and Simon nodded his head
"Couldn't just make food for myself and eat in front of you. That would be rude" Simon said and placed a cup of hot chocolate down as well

I stare in shock before setting my laptop to the side. Simon passes me fork and knife before grabbing himself a plate and cup then sitting down opposite me. He had the exact same as me

I wrote half of this in college since we had laptops in lessons. Me and my friends sit in the back so the teacher thought I was doing work even though I was looking at her while typing. I kinda remembered the keyboard so I can just stare at something while typing than looking at the keyboard
My last lesson had gotten cancelled since my teacher was ill so I didn't get back at 5:15 instead I got home at 4

I made Simon an edit to say congrats (Instagram: tamiiij17) and I'm actually proud of it that I hope Simon sees it cause it took me hours to do. I now know how Viners, YouTubers and others feel when it comes to editing
I'm so in love with Zack Knight's new song (Dum Dee Dee Dum). Not even lying, it's been on replay the whole day. Me and my friend from college both had it on repeat that I had even brought it from iTunes 2 hours after the song came out
