I get out of the shower and walk to the living room and get comfortable on the couch. I barely pay attention to the TV because I am anxious for Madison to come over.

I feel someone grab my legs and place them on their lap. I look over and instantly roll my eyes.

"So, where were you last night?" Josh says while tapping my leg.

I turn the TV down and glance at him. "I'm sure you already know so why are you even asking me?"

He knows I am getting irritated by the way my voice sounds. "Look," he blows out a breath. "I'm just looking out for you. I know Tyler broke your heart and it's fucked up because we were good friends, but you're my cousin, basically my sister and I can't stand knowing he broke you and you just forgave him that fast."

"You didn't say anything when I forgave Cooper and I'm sorry that-" he cuts me off and waves his hand at me.

"That's bullshit, Lynn and you know it," he says matter-of-factly. "Cooper is different. You've known him for years and you've known Tyler for like five minutes. I expected you to forgive him."

I falter a bit at his words. I can't believe he's saying this to me. I wouldn't be surprised if this was Cooper, but the fact that it is Josh makes me feel stupid.

"Well as I was saying before you cut me off," I slap his arms off of me and sit up. "I'm sorry for coming between the two of you. He told me to tell you that you guys need to talk. Cooper even told me to forgive him."

I get off the couch and glare at him. "That's fucked up Josh, I would expect Cooper to say some shit like this to me, but you? Unfuckingbelievable," I say dryly and walk away.

He hops off of the couch and grabs my arm. "I'm sorry. I was so mad. I told him we wouldn't have a problem as long as he didn't make you cry and he did that exact fucking thing. When I found out that you were at his house I was livid."

"I know, but we're cool now we talked about and besides," I shrug and give him a half smile, "I love him."

"Really Lynn? What about when we go back to school?"

"We'll make it work. We already talked about it. Just hear him out Josh. He is your friend and it is my fault that you guys aren't talking."

He gives me a sympathetic smile. "That's not true, Lynn. I'll go talk to him though."

I give him a hug and walk back to my room.

I hear a knock at my door and see someone appear. I instantly smile when I see Madison in the doorway, but when I looked at her face, my smile fell as fast as it came. In that moment I knew that my best friend life was about to change.

I immediately rush to give her a hug and she let the tears flow.

"I just don't know what to do," she sobs.

I hug her tighter. "Aw, Madi. Have you told Josh?"

She walks toward the bed and sit down."No. Not yet. He's asked me why I've been acting weird and I've just been coming up with excuses. I wanted to be sure, " she says while wiping her eyes.

I go in the bathroom and grab some tissue for her.

"Well, how far along are you?" I say while giving her the tissue.

"Eight weeks. Can you believe that?" She sighs disbelief.

"Damn. I think you need to tell Josh today."

She lays her head on my shoulder. "I am. I'm just so lost right now. I can't even go back out of state for school. I'm supposed to intern at Harper's Bazaar for the summer and now I can't. I'm so fucking stupid," she cries.
