It was one minute before New Year.
The only thing in Ariel's mind was the stranger.
She was still staring at the word 'Disconnected'
He disconnected her.
Some piece of her heart broke.
Their conversation wasn't long.
But it was meaningful.
It was the most decent conversation Ariel had with someone for years.
And a part of her liked him.
He was a funny guy.
His attitude was somewhere between sarcastic and nice.
Or was it a combination of both?
She didn't know which was which, all she know was maybe 2016 was going to be different after all.
As soon as the clock strike 12, the clock dings and dongs.
Ariel suddenly felt excited.
Since all the years she slept through New Years, she finally felt a spark of excitement tonight.
The sound of fireworks cracking filled the night air.
Ariel jump to her feet and rushed to the window.
Amazed at what she was witnessing, she finally thought to herself.
'I wish..oh no wait. I should probably close my eyes to make it more magical'
so she then closed her eyes and wished her wish.
It was childish, Ariel knew it was no use.
But it won't hurt to try, does it not?
