Bes stared at Bailey as she explained to him the uses of the device known as an iPhone, a device used to 'take pictures', 'record a video or message', 'listen to music', 'play games' and the one that spoke volumes to the Pharaoh was being able to speak with someone else either near or far without having to write or see them face-to-face.

He glanced at the small thin box that sat beside the iPhone, a cord of sorts connecting the both of them and asked what it was for, she replied that it was a solar charger, creating power through the use of the sun only.  Bes could, but it was difficult, to grasp the strange words that she spoke, still having no idea on what she saying.

Though at the same time, he understood the idea of it.

As he thought before; her language was a strange one.

"Where your device is charged, can you not contact someone from your own time?" He asked, immediately wishing he hadn't as a somber expression overtook her features, and the only response he received was a shake of her head, a small sigh, and her saying something about getting no signal.

With his mind still trying to absorb everything that Bailey was telling him was absolutely astonishing, and he couldn't help but feel somewhat jealous of the accomplishments that have been made over thousands of years, wondering how this time would handle Bailey's modern age of technological and medical advances.

As his mind focused back onto Bailey, Bes couldn't help but feel pride overcome him over her plan of catching both Amun and his accomplice in the attempted act of murder, and also, treason and Bes knew that she would make an excellent addition to the royal family of Egypt.

"Bes." His mind was brought back to reality and he looked up from the device to his soon-to-be bride and asked her to repeat herself.

Bailey sighed, "You didn't hear anything I said, did you?"

"Of course I did."

She studied him for a moment. "You don't think we can pull this off do you?"

He looked away, ashamed. The feeling of guilt overwhelmed him. "It's not that I don't believe that we could pull it off, I'm worried about what would happen if we were to get caught. Amun is capable of something impossible at times." He looked at her then, "And as I recall you said that interfering in the past may or may not corrupt the future. If this is something that should happen we should allow events to play out as they are. Why concern yourself about something trivial?"

"I know what I said, Bes. I understand that events play out in a certain way, I believe that things happen for a reason, but never, NEVER, say that your life is trivial." She walked up to him, hazel eyes blazing with fury. "If I hear those words coming out of your mouth again I guarantee that you will regret it because I will kick your ass myself."

Oh, he didn't doubt that for a moment.

Smirking to himself as his mind went back to their very first meeting. Quite the eventful one at that as he remembered her tackling him to the scorching hot sand, then getting bit by a cobra, the Pharaoh's protector. He remembered sucking as much of the poison from the wound as he could, he remembered his personal physician casting a spell to dispel the rest of the poison that he could not get.

"I would not doubt that for a moment, my Queen," he said after a moment before travelling over to Bailey and wrapping his arms around her, pulling him closer to his body, placing a chaste kiss upon her brow. "I will keep those words close to my mind, Bailey. I give you my word."

"You better." She said, though her voice was muffled by her face being pressed to his white tunic. He chuckled. She was beautifully adorable at times.
