not at dawn
at inopportune times
at 4am
while the world still sleeps
the moon sole witness
to waking
darkness lifts
you see the sun
the clouds all part
why's the night not done?
the world is all green
you can't clear in your head
how the sun is bright yellow
but the lights
stay red
