I shouldn't stop. I can't or they're going to catch up with me. I don't want to go home!

Aimaengel(I'm-angel) continued ranting in her head as her weary feet started reducing their speed from running down the trail of rocks from her home up the mountain side. She chose to go down this path to avoid being seen by the guards roving around their property. She's been running down for half an hour already when her feet started to protest.

But she couldn't stop.

She must go on until she passed through the hanging bridge by the river.

She's running away from home atleast for tonight. She wanted to think and sort things out.

Weariness caught up with her and she decided to rest under the shade of an umbrella tree. The tree really did justice to its name, where all of its massive branches were overflowing with big leaves, leaving its shade cool and ultimately covering the moonlight providing her the best and thickest shadow for hiding. She dropped her sarong and plopped down on one of the thickest roots that are sticking out from the ground.

As she took her rest, she was able to think back all the events that unfolded that day.
