Maura's POV
I woke up to Lyla laying next to me.
"good morning" I said
"mommy Emily's still asleep" she said
"okay let her sleep, she'll be up soon" I said
"can we watch TV until she wakes up" she asked
"yeah" I said and took her downstairs.
I saw William come down a few minutes later and sit on the couch with us.
I heard the baby crying so I went upstairs and for her and fed and changed her then put her in the swing.
I saw Grayson come down stairs carrying Michael.
"see there's aunt Maura" gray said and put Michael down and he came over to me and sat on my lap.
I heard the door open and saw Cameron and olivia and the baby.
I went into the kitchen to Grayson, "I have to go out with cameron for an hour, is that ok?" I asked
"of course" he said
I went upstairs and changed into jeans and a nice shirt and boots and then did my hair and makeup.
when I got back downstairs olivia had already left with their kids and William and Lyla were on the couch watching Disney channel.
"alright gray I'm going" I said
"okay be safe. love you" he said
"love you too" I said and me and Cameron got into my car since olivia had theirs.
"where to?" I asked
"Panera, duh" he said
we drove to Panera the got our food and sat down.
"okay so what's going on with the kids and Natalie" Cameron asked
"Michael told me that her and her boy friend are mean and make them stay down stairs, and they barely eat so they're hungry. he said that one time the boyfriend hit Emily but they said if she told they would beat her more so they were both too scared to tell you" I said
"my kids are too scared to talk to me" he said and looked down.
"no Cameron, they're not. Natalie and her boyfriend threatened them and Emily has been in that kind of situation when she was little and was probably terrified" I said
"I can't believe I sent my kids somewhere where they were harmed" he said
"you didn't know Cameron" I said
"I've gotta tell liv about this" he said
"Come on let's go home" I said
we finished eating and I drove him home and then I went home.
I went inside and saw Grayson at the counter looking down.
I went into him and he looked up and he was crying.
"gray what's wrong?" I asked
"nothing Maura" he said and got up and went upstairs.
William was asleep on the couch and Lyla was rubbing his back.
