Chapter 12

Percy's POV

   I was sitting on a bench when suddenly Nico appeared right in front of me. "Woah," I said falling on my face.
   I got up. "Hey,"said Nico
   "Hi," I said. "What's up?"
   "You want to come to McDonald's with me?"
   "I thought I wasn't your type!"
   "Well if you don't want to..."
   "Well, if you insist, I'll go,"
   "Okay..."
   Nico shadow traveled us right outside McDonald's. We walked inside. "Do you come here often?" I asked
   "Duh, where else would I go, Burger King? Wendy's? Inside and out burger? They taste terrible," Nico said.
   "Hey! I like those places!"
   "Whatever,"
   We were next in line. Since I didn't have anything else to do, I decided to eavesdrop on the mom and daughter in front of us. I glanced at Nico and noticed Nico was too.
   The mom and daughter were holding hands, the daughter looked around 5-7 years old. "Mommy!" The girl whined. "Nico needs a happy meal too!"
   "Bianca, Nico isn't real," the mom lectured
   I felt Nico tense. "Yes he is!!!" Bianca said stomping her foot. "He was my brother before I died!"
   "Bianca, be quiet! Your causing a scene!"
   "Here you go Ma'am," the waiter said handing over a happy meal with ketchup and a bottle of chocolate milk.
   "Kids and their dreams these days," the mom told the waiter.
   As the two left, Bianca turned her head straight towards Nico. Her eyes widened. "Nico!" She cried out
   She pushed away from her mom and ran to Nico hugging him and hugged his legs, not letting go. Nico looked surprised. "Nico!" She said again
   Then, Nico did something that he hasn't done in a long time, he smiled. "Hey Bianca," Nico said. 
   The mom stood there, frozen and shocked, her mouth was wide open. "You know, I'm still older than you," Bianca said
   "How?" Nico said
   "Technically, I'm 16 and your just 14, ha,"
   Everyone in the restaurant stared. "So, do you still play mythomagic?" Bianca asked
   "Haven't played for a while," Nico said. "Not since the battle of the labyrinth,"
   "Oh. You know, you really grew a lot. I'm sorry for being a bad older sister. You really look different. More, black, you look like a goth Nico,"
   The mom recovered from her shock. She walked towards Nico and tugged on Bianca to let go. "Sorry, young man, what is your name?"
   "Nico," Bianca and Nico said at the same time.
   The mother gasped. "Come on Bianca, let's go!"
   "No!" Bianca said. "I was supposed to protect my brother but left him and now, he turned into this. A goth, emo dude who dresses in black and wears skull clothing. This is my chance to make up for leaving him,"
   "Bianca," Nico said. "I think you should listen to your mom. Your new one, I'll be fine,"
   "Are you sure Nico? If you ever get a chance, call me using Annabeth's phone, or any,"
   "Bianca, don't give those strangers our phone number!"
   Bianca ignored her mom. "It's 756-466-3882, bye Nico. Call me soon," she said letting go of Nico and leaving the building.

   We were back at camp Jupiter. We had finished eating and decided to add Bianca's number to Annabeth's phone. "What's the number?" Annabeth asked
   "Umm..." I said. "I don't remember,"
   "I do," Nico said. "It's 756-466-3882,"
   "Kay," Annabeth said.
   "Let's go home now," Nico said.
   "Okay, time to call in..." Annabeth said.
   "The dam awesome dream team!" We said together.

   "Bye," I said waving to Annabeth as we left
   I turned around and saw my mom. "There you are! I've been worried about you," my mom said
   "Sorry it's just-" I started but ended up getting cut off
   "You know what, tomorrow you get blue cookies,"
   I gasped. "Blue cookies!!!"
   "But do your homework first!"
   "Okay," I said as I ran to my room, doing my homework
