57. Party Time

Nicki- baby, can you help me?

Meek- what you need help with?

Nicki- can you help me get the fish bowls out on the table

It was finally time for the party and everything was perfect. The set up was everything I hoped it would be and I could tell Ra loved it. The decorations turned out good considering the fact the Meek and I made them ourselves. We even had real fish as party favors. We had to hide them from Ra because if he would have seen them before today they would have all been dead.

We finished right in time because as soon as we but the last few decorations out the doorbell rung.

Nicki- come on Ra, somebody's at the door! Let's go see who it is!

Lindsey's POV

I was on my way to Draya's house to pick up Asiah. I was taking her to Razah's birthday party today since Draya was still unable to drive. She had been released from the hospital about a week and a half ago, 2 weeks before her original release date.

Lindsey- hey

Draya- hey, come in.

I walked in a sat on the couch seeing a lady sitting at the table.

Draya- this is my nurse Jessica

Lindsey- hi, nice to meet you I'm Lindsey" I smiled

Jessica- you two

Lindsey- did you go to physical therapy today?

Draya- no, but I go tomorrow tho

Lindsey- oh ok, you need me to take you?

Draya- no, Jessica is going to take me. I wanted to ask you though if you could keep Asiah so I won't have to take her with me again.

Lindsey- sure, I can do that.

Draya- thank you so much

Lindsey- sure. Are you sure you don't want to go to the party?

Draya- positive, I don't wanna scare anybody with my face.

Lindsey- there is nothing wrong with your face

Draya- you don't have to say that, I'm ugly and I know it.

Lindsey- your not ugly, your recovering. You overcame a lot and there's nothing ugly about that.

Draya- I just hate the way I look right now. I don't want anybody to see me.

Lindsey- well your daughter thinks you still beautiful and so do I. Those scratches and bruises are just temporary.

Draya- I know, I just want them gone now.

Lindsey- hi cutie" I said to Asiah as she came strolling out of her room.

She came and gave me a hug.

Lindsey- you ready to go to the party?

Asiah- uh huh

Draya- do you have your bag baby?

Asiah- yeah

Lindsey- ok, well tell mommy bye

She ran over to Draya and gave her a big hug and a kiss.

Draya- I love you so much!

Asiah- I love you

Draya- thank you

Lindsey- sure, see ya.

Draya- ok, have her call me before bed.

Lindsey- I will.

Nicki's POV

The house was starting to fill up quickly with people. There was people from Ra's swimming class here including his swim instructor Alyssia. Also a few of my old co-workers and their kids, my midwife Connie and even some of Meek's friends which he claimed didn't exist. There was about 30 people total, more than I had expected but luckily I went overboard with food and everything so there turned out to be more than enough. I watched as Ra swam around in the pool with Alyssa. He really loved here.

Nicki- he's having so much fun baby!

Meek- I know, we should get in

Nicki- I still have some baby weight to lose first

Meek- I see you naked all the time and I don't see no baby weight. Come on, I want us to swim with him.

Nicki- fine, I'll go change.

I was on my way upstairs with Razlynn when I heard the doorbell.

Nicki- hey girl

Lindsey- hey, sorry I'm so late

Nicki- it's fine, hi pretty girl." I said to Asiah and she waved.

Lindsey- when you get a chance I wanna talk to you.

Nicki- um ok, is everything good?

Lindsey- mhm

Nicki- ok, well you can take her to the pool and I'll be back down in a minute

Lindsey- ok

I didn't know what was wrong but she was acting a little timid. I went upstairs and changed Razlynn and myself into swimsuits.

Nicki- here baby, take her with you and I'll be in there in a minute.

I handed Razlynn to Meek and I went to go find Lindsey.

Nicki- hey girl, what's up?

Lindsey- I wanted to talk to you about Draya.

Nicki- ok, is she alright?

Lindsey- I guess, I tried to get her to come but she's scared to be around anybody because of the way her face looks. She told me today that she felt like she was ugly and that bothered me

Nicki- she said that?

Lindsey- yeah

Nicki- that makes me sad that she feels that way because she's not ugly.

Lindsey- I tried to tell her but she's not believing me

Nicki- well I'll make sure to call her tomorrow. Other then that is she doing ok?

Lindsey- I think so. She's been doing her physical therapy and everything.

Nicki- well that's good. I'm glad she got to get out of the hospital early. I think being in that environment for that amount of time upset her too. She should be thankful that she has a friend like you.

Lindsey- that's another thing I wanted to talk to you about

Nicki- what?

Lindsey- I think I love her

Nicki- what do you-

Lindsey- as more than friends Nicki...

* PARTY WAS A SUCCESS.!I KNOW YALL WAS PROBABLY WONDERING WHO WOULD BE AT THIS PARTY. THEY KNOW PEOPLE YALL, THEY JUST DONT HAVE A LOT OF CLOSE FRIENDS LOL.
