By Your Hands

I found myself lost in a huge crowd,
Crying and I crying I kept my wails loud.
I whimpered till my voice cracked,
I wailed till my throat sored.

Many cold gazes pierced my soul,
Countless lips mocked at my heart.
Terrified, I hid inside a crack
Tears suddenly just rolled down my cheeks.

But in mere seconds my world changed.
With your hands holding my own,
You gave me warmth to call my home.
The kindness of thee flow through.

By your hands, I held my ground
Helped me up and I feel loft.
Courage traveled through my veins.
So as to face my very disdain.

The fear I felt was swiftly drained.
By your hands which rescued me.
The soft touch of your palm over my head,
Calms the calamity and destruction inside of me.

By your hands, I poured my sweat and blood
To attain the goals that I have set.
By your hands I journey the breadth,
The torturous path which leads to the light.
