Darkside Of The Sun

The light from the ever-burning sun reflects on the glass,

But ironically so, I'm still in the dark.

Searching for a warm glow that I can see,

And not push away thinking it'll hurt me.

Wandering so very often, trying to find some heat,

I prefer the cold, but the numbness eats.

Bites away what's left of me.

Just burning to the ground,

The ashes falling like leaves off a tree.

They say I'm scared, plunged into madness,

But really I'm just depressed, engulfed with sadness.

They'll never truly know,

How they destroyed me so.

But even if they did,

They'd still see to me fall from a trip.

A never-ending plummet to a ground that doesn't exist,

If only I was somewhere else, I can wish.
