she visited her today. she knew she would be home. she always stayed home on sunday nights.

"what would mom and dad think? don't you want to make something of yourself?" she asked her.

"what does it matter? they're not here to tell me what they think," she responded back.

she stood up on her feet her voice rising. "that doesn't mean you should throw your life away drinking and partying. they may not be here physically, but they are here. the are in you heart and your memories."

"i lost them too. i was there! how do you think i felt? not being able to do anything. i blamed myself for a while. and you pushed me away, especially when i needed you the most."

"but i still try to make them proud. i always wanted to be like you. you were perfect to me, you had a dream but you threw it away. acting this way isn't going to bring them back."

she didn't say anything.
