Chapter 2

I heard a voice and a snap. "Omg you two are so cute together" the voice said. Raven. I opened my eyes, almost forgetting I was blind."Ugh.. Did you just take a picture?" I asked her. She simply stated "Yes. Now come on we will be late for your presentation" I nodded "OK, Charles get your lazy bum up!"

Charles rolled over then heard a l thud as he fell off the couch, I stiffled a laugh. "That was not funny!" he said laughing himself. "Yeah, Come on lets go!" Raven yelled. We quickly got ready and headed over to the building we would be doing our presentation. I grabbed Charles hand as we walked inside for I couldn't see and I was really nervous. He tightened his gripped and told me "Your amazing don't worry" I smiled and walked in with him and Raven

"May I present Professor Charles Xavier and Professor Emilia Agne in Genetic Mutation" the announcer said we had done it we aced our presentation. We walked out of the building hand in hand so excited. I heard Raven tease Charles about being a professor then something about getting a drink and we headed off, Charles gripping my hand leading me there.

I heard something off there were footsteps behind us the same footsteps from when we were walking out of the presentation. I could tell they were holding an umbrella from the weight on their feet. My guess was we were being followed. I told Charles and Raven I would catch up, Charles sound worried then kissed me on the cheek and agree, they both head off.

I turned around and walked up to were I heard the footsteps, they stopped. "Can I help you?" I asked. "How did you know I was following you?" the women asked.

"I didn't but I do now" I smiled

"How did you know I was here if you are blind " she asked politely

"I have an amazing sense of hearing" I walking in the direction I thought was the bar

"If you looking for you friends I can take you to them" She said as I felt a touch on my arm

"Thank you" I said as she took me to Charles

I heard cheering and Charles yelling, I shook my head. He is drunk again, "So Sorry" I said to the women "Give me a minute" I said excusing myself and headed toward the voices.

"Charles, darling, you are going to hurt yourself" I said as I felt him run into me.

"Em, were have you been you missed it" he said drunkenly

"Yeah, OK darling, why don't we go sit down" I said grabbing his arm. I saw a flash of light and let go. I was confused, I would talked to Charles later.

"Charles Xavier and Emilia Agne? Moria MacTaggert, I saw your presentation" she said

"Oh, you saw our presentation" Charles said suddenly sober

"Yes, I was wondering, if the kind of mutation you were talking about in your thesis could they exist today?" Moria asked

I grabbed Charles when she said this, but then I could SEE! I wasn't hurting anyone, it's like I was seeing through Charles. We were walking towards a table with Moria. We all sat down and then I saw flashs of a memory. Charles was, I was guessing, reading her mind. I saw a transporter and a girl with diamond skin. Moria had seen mutants, but she wasn't sure it was real. I let go of Charles and everything went back to black.

"I believe you already know the answer to your question" Charles said

We talked to Moria for a little while and agreed that we would do a presentation for her bosses over at the C.I.A base in North Carolina

After she left I heard Raven come and catch up with Charles on what is going on. I spoke in my mind knowing Charles would hear. I said that I needed to speak to him urgently. I could feel his gaze on me. OK he said back to me in his head. As we were all walking out of the bar, Charles told Raven we would catch up with her later. She agreed , and I heard her walk off.

"OK, what was it you needed to talk about" he asked

"Remember when I was holding your hand early?" I asked back

"Yes" he asked confused

"I could see" I whispered "Like I was seeing through your eyes , but I was also in your brain cause I could see you reading her mind"

He was silent for a minute then he spoke "This is amazing!" he said picking me up and spinning me around " Its like we have some connection, maybe you were right. The world wanted to give you a chance" he said kissing me "C'mon, lets go pack" he smiled and took my hand and I saw.
