Chapter One

Kaleigh

Dear Journal,

Sadly it's been hours since we drove to the airport to wait for our plane.... It's scary to think about moving to a new place. Everything will be different... The schools, the people, the accent, the food, the weather, the house... My life. I'm really going to miss Georgia, but I guess London won't be so bad or at least I hope not. Everyone is so excited for this, but in all honesty I'm scared.

"Honey it's time to board the plane!" My mom pushed my shoulder and stood up along with my dad and brother. We walked towards the terminal waiting for our tickets to be scanned. We entered the plane realizing this was the beginning of our new life.

As we left the airport I could tell we weren't in America anymore. The buildings were older and there happen to be a smell of fresh baked desserts in the air. As we arrived home from our cab drive we entered the drive way of a beautiful home. Everyone found there room and started unpacking as did I.

I woke up seeing I had an hour before I started my first day at Calvin Highschool. I took a shower , put on some makeup, and slipped on some blue skinny jeans along with a black vans shirt and my pair of my white converse.

"You ready yet , Blake?"

"Comin sis" he screamed from upstairs

We entered the parking lot to see hundreds of different faces along with a variety of styles. As I entered the building along side of Blake as we made our way towards the office. After the school day ended I checked my phone remember that my phone buzzed not to long ago

Blake :
I have football practice after school and it's important I go since I'm new... You can go to the bleachers and wait for me or walk home. The practice might go to 3 hours though. Let me know what your gonna do. Love you

Well he screwed me over... It's the first day and I'm already getting ditched by my brother for his football buddies. I texted him and started to walk in the direction of our house, good thing we live close to the school. I arrived home 40 minutes later seeing as no one is home because my dad works out of town and my moms a surgeon which means she had weird hours. I walked up to my room to proceed in my Netflix addiction.

6:23 pm

I heard the front door open with a few loud voices.

"Blake???" I yelled from the top of the stairs

"Yea it's me and some friends" he responded

Well dang, he already made friends...

I made my way downstairs as I saw a group of guys lounged on the couch eating fresh pizzas. A few looked at me and then looked a Blake knitting there eyebrows together

"Aye Blake , who's she" one of the boys asked

"Is she your girl because if not then I call dibs" another one screamed. His comment made me turn a tent of red as I walked towards my brother

"That's my sister and I'm not afraid to knock your balls off if you say that again" Blake sternly spoke. He was really protective over me, but I loved it.

"Umm.. Can I have some pizza?" I quietly spoke in Blake's direction

"Su-"

He was cut off by a guy jogging in my direction handing me a whole pizza.

"Here ya go and I'm Malik" he smiled as he backed away

"Haha thank you but I meant a slice, I didn't want the whole pizza... Oh and I'm Kaleigh" I smiled

"Alright alright we get it, Kaleigh do you have any plans tonight?" Blake asked raising his eyebrows

"Well let's think about this.. I just had my first day at the new school and we just moved here sooo I'm gonna go with no" I said sarcastically as I made my way upstairs

The night flew by and I quickly fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and did my usual routine. We arrived to our school as Blake and his friends joined together, I separated and made my way to the main building. As I was walking I drifted away in my thoughts and bumped into someone.

"Oh I'm so sor-" I looked up to see curly hair and piercing emerald eyes

"Its fine love" he winked then walked away

I took a second look at him noticing his amazing features and kept walking. As I got to 4th period we were assigned partners and I got a girl named Sarah. She was very kind and made me feel comfortable unlike a lot of others. A hour or two passed making me walk through the Hurd of people to my Spanish class.

"Hey Kaleigh!" I heard a familiar voice yell to me in the hallway.

"Oh hey Sarah" I was more then happy to see someone I knew

"Can we exchange numbers?" She asked giving me a smile

"Sure"

As school ended I walked to Blake's car waiting for him to arrive. Across the parking lot my eye caught the head of chocolate colored curls making his way in my direction. I turned towards the car a little more so that I couldn't make eye contact with him seeing as it's kinda awkward.. As I was trying to hide my self I felt my phone buzz

Blake :

Coach made a last minute meeting for the team, I'm so sorry sis. Wait for me?

I sighed and remember earlier when Sarah talked about the annoying part of driving to school in the mornings.

To : Sarah

Hey my brother changed last minute on me, can you give me a ride home..?

Sarah:

Yea sure! I'm by the entrance , I'll be waiting! :)

I replied to Blake and told him I found a ride with my new friend and quickly made my way in that direction seeing her wave uncontrollably at me which caused me to chuckle.

(A/N) I'm taking this book kinda slow because I hate when books rush through the story line. I'll update twice a month because i'm very busy with school work!
