I'm really glad Ethan asked me out. I've been waiting for this since like eighth grade.
The rest of the school day dragged along slowly. When the last bell finally rang I went to my locker, and met Grayson at the front doors.
"Hey bud!" I said smiling.
"Hey Serene, ready to go?" He asked.
"Wait, where's Ethan?" I questioned.
"Your little boyfriend found another ride home." He said sarcastically.
"Oh, and Gray he's not my boyfriend." I said laughing.
"Ok, whatever you sayyy." Grayson said opening the door for me.
We walked home and went our separate ways. I went inside to see my mom in the kitchen cooking dinner.
"Mom! Guess what!" I said excited.
"What honey?" She replied.
"Ethan asked me out!" I nearly yelled.
"What? That is so cute. Me and the moms always thought you guys would end up together." She said hugging me.
"Haha ok mom." I said walking upstairs.
I looked at my phone and saw that it was 5:30 and Ethan is picking me up at 7:00. I decided to start getting ready.
I hopped in the shower and washed my hair. I lightly blow dried it, so that it would still have a natural wave. I applied some concealer, eyeliner, mascaras and blush.
Ethan told me to dress casual, so I chose a cute outfit, (pic above). I checked my phone and it was already 6:30. I'm really nervous. What if he realizes he doesn't like me or something?
•Ethan's Pov•
I checked my phone and it was 6:45. I love across the street, so I can leave as late as I want. I decided that I'm going to take Serene to the carnival. As a kid she always loved those.
At 6:50 I left my house and walked over to Serene's. On my way out I was stopped by my mom and Gray in the kitchen.
"Oh hey honey, where are you going?" My mom asked.
"Yeah honey, where are you going?" Gray mimicked.
"I'm taking Serene out." I admitted.
"Wait...like on a date?" My mom asked smiling.
"Well, yeah." I said running my hand through my hair.
"Awww I always knew you guys were going to eventually go out." My mom said hugging me.
"Ok bye!" I said closing the door.
Walking outside into the sunset, I got nervous. What if she doesn't like me? I really like her.
I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. A few seconds later, Serene opened the door.
"Hey!" She said hugging me.
"Hi!" I replied. "You look really pretty."
"Aww thanks Eth, I guess you don't look too bad yourself." She said laughing. She sounds so cute when she laughs.
We walked out of the house and to my car.
"So where are we off too?" She asked putting her seatbelt on.
"Actually, the carnival." I said smiling.
"Omg Yay! I haven't gone since we were like 13 and we went." She said excited.
•Serene's Pov•
I am really happy on where he's taking me. Ever since he got famous it's been hard to go out with him. His fans know me, but only as his friend, I wonder what would happen if we became anything else.
We got to the carnival and got out of the car. We bought some tickets and went to go play some games. Ethan being the stubborn person he is, stuck with one game and just kept on playing it until he won. He never did. We just ran out of tickets. He looked so defeated.
"Aww poor Ethy." I said kissing his cheek.
"Stupid game, I swear it's rigged I sw-". I cut him off.
"Ethan I don't know how hard you hit your head, but that's how people make money." I said mocking him.
He looked at me and smiled really big, trying to hold in his laugh.
After a lot of rides and games, we got in the car to go home. We held hands the whole way there. When we finally got home he walked me to my door.
"I had a great time thank you so much." I said.
"Thank you for letting me take you out, after I've been such a jerk to you before." He replied.
He leaned in, and so did I and our lips met. We stayed in the kiss for what felt like forever. It felt right and I got butterflies.
"Serene, I've known you forever and now realized what is right. Will you be my girlfriend?" Ethan asked nervously.
"Of course loser." I said before kissing him passionately.
He went home and I went inside. I went up to my room and his my gigantic smile in my pillow. Finally, I'm dating Ethan Dolan.
