A few days passed and I was still in a wheel chair, right now Sherlock was wheeling me to the Scotland Yard because i was so bored I started grabbing glass things and throwing them at the wall. Lovely right? We got on the elevator and went up to the floor where I worked at.
"I'm going to my office!" I announced before wheeling myself away. I was used to getting around obstacles now so it was pretty easy to get through the the office. Sherlock had gone to Lestrades office about the case well I went to mine. I stood up and went to my desk, sitting down and began to sort some files that were left on my desk since I'd been off. I glanced over to see Sherlock speaking with Greg, I couldn't help but watch, he was quite handsome... 'He has nice hair, bright eyes, dressed good- what am I thinking!?' I shook my head getting rid of the thoughts. I continued to sort until Sherlock entered my office.
"Come on, let's head back to 221B I have a case." He gestured a hand to the wheel chair.
"I think I might go to the cafe..." I said as I sat down in my wheel chair.
"Y/N. It's to dangerous for you to be alone anywheres right now." Sherlock growled.
"Why do you care?" I grumbled, I'd been a bit frustrated from being stuck in the flat, I was ready to protest to the end if it meant going anywhere other than there! Sherlock was silent for a moment, I could feel his eyes burning into my skull.
"Because I do!" He snapped and pushed my abruptly onto a curb making me wince. He stopped outside of the cafe an started to walk away.
"What are you doing!?" I called after him.
"You wanted to go to the cafe! There you go!" Sherlock shot a dark glare back at me. I wanted to apologize but instead I rested in my chair watching him leave. 'Why does it hurt so much when he's mad at me... I've never felt like that when anyone else got mad at me..' I eventually limped into the cafe sitting at my usual table. I ordered a coffee from the same waitress id met the last time I was here.
"Problems with you and your curly haired man?" She looked at me curiously as she poured the coffee.
"I wouldn't say he's mine but yeah..." I huffed staring out the window.
"Sorry to hear that darling, I hope things get better! You two make a cute couple!" The waitress smiled cheekily before walking away. My face flushed red as I realized what she meant.
"Er I-I... We.. We're uh.." I was about to say that we weren't dating when I saw that she was gone. I already knew I cared for him, but he'd never feel the same way.. But then the thought entered my mind, did he? I mean he tolerated dragging me around in a wheel chair, and my petty requests, and the crap tele I watch... I jumped up bounding out the door, i grabbed my wheel chair and wheeled myself quickly down the streets to find him. I pushed myself to the apartment building that he told me he was investigating. I leaped off and hauled the door open, barely hit any of the stairs and spotted him standing by the window, my heart thudded loudly in my chest. My feet felt like stone as I tried to move, my face was bright red. I took a deep breath and took a step towards him, catching his attention. He turned to me, his expression was pretty confused.
"Y/N? What are you doing here?" Sherlock looked me over, I couldn't help but shake a bit. My mouth to say something but I closed it quickly, I was honestly terrified. I wanted to say that I cared for him so badly.
"Are you alright?" He reached a hand towards my shoulder. I jumped back, if he felt me shaking he'd know something was up.
"I-I'm fine.." I lied, I felt the words I wanted so say on the tip of my tongue, but I refused to say them.
"You're lying-" I cut him off before he finished his deduction.
"Don't... Look I-I'm sorry about earlier, I know you want to protect me and it means a lot to me.. I don't think you realize how much.." I muttered the last part hoping he didn't hear it, but the look he gave me proved he did.
"What's wrong Y/N?" His face looked so expressionless now and calm.. I turned away and faked a smile.
"Nothing!" I spoke with the happiest voice I could muster.
"Just came to apologize, it would have bothered me all day!" I lied, he could see right through me... I turned to leave but he grabbed my hand.
"Tell me what's wrong." His voice was a bit more demanding this time.
"Nothing is wrong Sherlock, leave me be." I gave him a warning glance, he let go and walked back into the flat, leaving me alone. I feel a crack tear through my heart, I was to scared to tell him. I got into a taxi putting the wheelchair in the back and went home. I put it outside the door and limped up the stairs. John was sitting at the table reading a newspaper.
"Hey John.." I mumbled as I entered.
"Are you ok?" He gave me a worried look.
"I'm fine!" I snapped before walking to what was now my room. Slamming the door I sunk slowly to the floor staring at the wall. I I wished I'd have told him then, it would have made my life so much easier. I heard the flat door open, then close. 'Did John leave?' I thought, then I heard someone else.
"Is Y/N here?" Sherlock sounded concerned.
"Yeah, she went to her room, she seemed pretty stressed so I'd leave her alone Sherlock.." John replied, by the sound of his voice he was half reading the paper half talking to Sherlock. I could hear sherlocks footsteps pounding down the hallway.
"Open the door." He spoke loudly. I didn't argue, no point, then he'd no something was wrong.
"What?" I glared at him as I opened the door. To my surprise he leaned forward gently placing his lips on my own. It held the kiss for a moment before breaking it.
"Is that what you wanted?" He had a half smirk on his face seeing how badly I was blushing.
"Well there were going to be words!" I laughed a bit, his chuckle made the air feel less strangling. John just watched from the table smirking.
"Apology accepted.." Sherlock grinned.
