cameron;

i ring maeve's doorbell nervously.

i'm so excited to see what she looks like, because her personality is already so perfect.

she peeps open the door a little bit.

i can already see her beautiful eyes.

they're like mine, brown. except her's are piercing and sophisticated.

i'm already obsessed with her and haven't even seen what she fully looks like.

"hey, it's really you." she says softly.

"yup. right here right now." i smile.

she looks super nervous.

"i- uh- your eyes are amazing. i- mean- gotta go! bye!" she says quickly before slamming the door on my nose.

way. too. close. to. the. door.

"ow!" i yell in pain.

what an interesting introduction.

when she comes back out from the other side of the door, she yells something i can't quite hear and runs back into her house.

what is going on?

i see maeve running back this way when she slips on the floor and falls into me, making me fall backwards onto the stairs.

i'm so lucky i hadn't smashed my head.

"i'm so sorry. i swear." she says sadly.

then i do the weirdest thing. i start laughing.

maybe it was because of the weird introduction.

or because of the extremely concerned expression on her face.

we both start laughing before i say, "that was- hilarious."

we both laugh for a good amount of time before i add, "what an entrance."

"aaannnd that is why i don't have friends." she says truthfully.

"you mean, that's why you have one friend. but he's the best guy in the world so it doesn't even matter." i joke, trying to lift up the conversation.

"let's head inside." she suggests.

"sure thing," i chuckle.

she mentions that if her mom found me here, we would be screwed.

i wonder why she's so afraid of her mom.

"how's bring famous and all?" she asks curiously.

"the fans are so amazing. each and every one of them are honestly so supportive. i just wish i had more time to myself sometimes." i answer truthfully.

"do you have a vine account?" i ask her.

"nope, only an instagram and twitter." maeve replies.

"oh cool. what's your instagram username?" i ask.

"@//maevehood" she answers.

"is your last name 'hood?'" i ask her.

"yep. just like calum from that band." maeve says.

i think i know who she's talking about. 5 seconds of summer. they have some pretty cool songs.

"have you had any alcohol before? sorry. it's a stupid question. you don't have to answer it." she adds hesitantly.

"it's not a dumb question at all." i smile. "and no." i add.

"what are your plans for the future?" i ask curiously.

"i'm thinking about being a recording artist. it won't happen, but it seems really nice." she says.

i saw how her face lit up and i couldn't resist.

"can you sing a song for me?" i suggest.

she looks at me in shock. "oh- um- sure." she says before starting to sing.

your little brother never tells you but he loves you so.
you said your mother only smiled on her tv show.
you're only happy when your sorry head is filled with dope.
i hope you make it to the day you're 28 years old.
you're dripping like a saturated sunrise.
you're spilling like an overflowing sink.
you're ripped at every edge but you're a masterpiece.
and now you're tearing through the pages and the ink.
everything is blue.
his pills, his hands, his jeans.
and now i'm covered in the colors pulled apart at the seams.
it makes blue.
it makes blue.
everything is grey.
his hair, his smoke, his dreams.
and now he's so devoid of color,
he don't know what it means.
and he's blue.
and he's blue.

she sounds so amazing.

singing with so much emotion really made her stand out.

"that was so amazing. you should really try recording a song. if you need, i can take you to my recording studio." i smile.

i think she really deserves it.

"that's too amazing. thank you for the offer, i'll consider it." she says happily.

i then remember how late it must be.

"i had a great time, but i gotta go sleep." i say sadly.

"it's fine, i do too. good thing my mom hasn't come home yet." maeve replies.

"okay, see you next time." i smile before heading out.

"cameron, wait." i hear faintly.

i turn around and before i can ask, she pulls me into a warm hug.

she makes me so happy.

"thank you for getting my mind off things." she whispers.

"anytime." i smile.
