maeve;

someone please help me.

there's no way i'm going to let myself get raped by some sick person.

anyone, just please save me.

i put myself into such a deep mess.

why do i always choose alcohol to soothe my worries?

this needs to stop.

i can't risk getting put into another scenario like this ever again.

"open up sweetie. it'll only take a few minutes," he says in a sinister tone.

you can tell that it won't just be 'a few minutes'.

"hello? is anyone in here?" i hear a loud voice call.

whoever this is, they're surely not discreet.

"in here!" my kidnapper yells.

who? what? why?

what is going on?

he puts his clothes back on and opens the door to the room.

how did i not see that?

"where's my money, kid?" the kidnapper asks impatiently.

"right here," i hear a familiar voice say.

"okay sweetie. it's time to go. i'll be looking out for you," my kidnapper says before letting me out the door with a sinister smile on his face.

cameron?

why is cameron here?

because he just saved you, dumbhead.

oh right.

i'll thank him later. my main priority is to find my way out of this dark building.

"follow me," cameron says before leading the way.

well he surely knows his way around. he guides me through some hallways until we reach the exit.

as he opens the door, daylight pours in.

finally free

"listen maeve, i know we haven't been on good terms lately, but it was the least i could do," he smiles.

"well thank you because if you hadn't saved me from that guy, he would've raped me," i say quietly.

"WHAT? NO I AM GOING BACK IN THERE TO TEACH HIM A LESSON," cameron yells before heading back in.

i grab him by his shirt and tug him back.

"no one is going back in there. let's just forget it and move on," i say sternly.

"fine. but that was a dick move," cameron says.

"how are we going to get back home? i don't even know where in the world we are," i say, concerned.

cameron points to his car. it's a mercedes. no surprise- this guy probably has millions from social media.

we walk to his car and get in.
i take this time to observe the building i was in.

plain black building that was pretty big. that guy probably has dungeons in there for all i know.

"i'll be looking out for you"

his words replay in my mind.
i would never feel safe again.
until this guy was locked up.

"cameron?" i ask, deep in thought.

"yeah?" he asks.

"do you think this guy will look out for me? will he try to kidnap me again?" i ask slowly.

"as long as you're with me, you'll be safe maeve," he reassures before starting the engine.

"thank you cameron. i don't know what would have happened if you hadn't gotten there soon enough," i say truthfully.

"let's just forget this ever happened," he smiles before concentrating on the road.

"i forgive you." i add, before we go into a comfortable silence.
