josh and tyler's mum turn their heads. "i'll leave you two alone," tyler's mum says and walks out of the room.
josh rushes to the side of the hospital bed. "why didn't you tell me you were unhappy, ty? i was waiting like two months for you to fucking respond! and i had to hear from your mother that you tried to kill yourself!"
"i didn't want you to worry, josh," tyler says.
"fucking hell, tyler," josh murmurs.
"i'm sorry."
instead of josh responding, he climbs into the bed with tyler and wraps his arms around the other boy.
"don't do it again," josh whispers. "please."
"i-i won't."
"i don't know what i would do without you," josh says, pulling away.
"i'm going back to school in a week and a half," tyler states. "i don't want to go back."
"then, don't."
"but-"
"take online school or something. i don't want you to go back to school where you can be bullied again and have you be put in a fucking hospital again," josh explains.
"i'll talk to mum."
"good."
"i love you, josh."
"i love you too, baby."
