I was starting to get worried, I'd been outside for about 15 minutes and there was still no sign of wade or Bo. I began to fiddle with the radio in attempt to cheer myself up, but the only working station was some creepy opera one, Rationalising with myself I realised that Wade was probably just snooping around the mans house, he always was a curious kid.
Nether the less I decided to get out of the car and go look around, I walked up a few stairs leading up to the house before leaning over to check if anyone was inside through the windows. Growing irritated that no one was there I crossed my arms and leant back against the old decrepid banister, looking back towards the car I let out a gasp as I realised that something was seriously wrong. It was the car of the man who watched us at the camp site, the headlight that Nick smashed was almost grinning back at me. I quickly ran over to the car and jumped into the drivers seat panic overcoming me, I honked the horn in attempt to get Wades attention, praying that he'd get to me before Bo Sinclair did.
I honked again a few times before pulling out my cell phone and attempting to call Blake.
"Come on..." I muttered as the cellphone continued to dial. I sighed angrily as the only reply I got was Blake's standard voice message.
"Hey, it's Blake. You know what to do."
"Hey, guys. Where the hell are you? Listen, remember the truck that came to the campsite last night? I think we just ran into him." Suddenly the door behind me swung open revealing Bo, arms full with a box of supplies, hiding my phone behind my thigh I turned to face him, the only thing between us was the open door of the pickup truck.
"Where's Wade?" I demanded, fixing the man with a strong stare.
"Oh, he's not out here?" Bo said innocently. I shook my head No in response. "I guess he's still in the bathroom." He replied gesturing back with his hand "I got the fanbelt." His charming grin didn't seem so charming anymore and was instead sinister and creepy.
"Your not in a hurry are ya? Cause I need to load the truck up with..." He continued to approach me while talking, but without a second though I jumped into the truck and shoved down the lock, preventing him from getting in.
"What are you doin?" He said, hiding his anger behind a calm facade.
"Waiting for Wade." I replied adamantly. He began quickly walking towards the passenger side, so I leapt across the seats and locked that side as well.
"Open the damn door!" He said angrily, throwing the box with the fan belt inside to the ground. "I mean, this is my truck." He said in attempt to cover his anger. He began to yank on the door before saying; "hey what's the matter with you, if you don't open this door I'm gonna call the cops."
"Your the guy from the campsite..." He stopped immediately, turned slightly to the left before swinging round and slamming his fist into the window.
I let out a terrified scream and flung myself towards the other side of the car, but he continued to punch and punch until the glass shattered underneath his hand.
"Wade! Wade!" I screamed, wanting nothing more than my best friend to appear so we could fight this man together. I screamed again as I felt the man grab onto my ancle.
"Stop! Wade! Wade!" I screamed in terror, accidently dropping my phone in the process.
"What are you doing?" Demanded the man. "Get out my truck!" I screamed again as he yanked me closer towards the window. "Give me the keys!" He demanded, but instead I latched onto them, turning on the car before leaning down and slamming my hand onto the accelerator. Bo yelled angrily as he was forced to hang onto the side of the car as it began to race down the street, while he was distracted I flung my leg out, catching him hard in the jaw. He toppled to the ground with a yell. Quickly I scrambled up into sitting position, and slammed my foot onto the accelerator, hands gripping frantically at the wheel as I drove. Suddenly I felt my back wheel fall off something, and realised with dismay as I attempted to accelerate the car back over the edge that it was indeed stuck. Terrified, I leant down and searched under the seat for my cell phone, but frowned in anger when I realised it was nowhere to be found. I sat up and in a blind attempt to see something turned on the headlights.
Worst. Mistake. Ever.
I let out a gasp as Bo slammed his hands onto the hood of the truck, I then jumped into the back, yanking open the rear windows and leaping out the back, I stumbled slightly as I hit the ground but regained my footing and began to sprint down the muddy path. My heart was beating so fast I felt as though it was about to burst out my chest. I slipped a few times on the mud but didn't stop or look back, instead I hid behind a building in order to catch my breath. I felt like a antelope being chased by a cheater, running for my life but deep down knowing id never be able to outrun them. I was prey.
Where the fuck was Wade?
With that thought I began to sprint from behind the building, surely Nick should at least be at the washed out road by now, him and the rest of them should be able to help me find Wade and kill these creepy mother fuckers.
I came to an abrupt stop in the middle of a four way junction, letting out a gasp when the dark buildings suddenly came to life, bright lights shining all around me. I looked round in horror, feeling like I was in one of the horror movies me and Wade watched as kids.
Suddenly I turned towards the church. People. People were in the church. They could help me!
Before I could change my mind I broke out into a sprint towards the church, heart racing. I slammed into the church doors, shoving them open with all my might.
"Please! Somebody! Help me!" I screamed, storming into the church.
"Please! You gotta help me!" I begged helplessly. I ran towards the pastor, looking at his emotionless expression before tuning towards everyone else, sitting deadly still in the pews.
I stared in terror and amazement at the scarily human wax figures. Why was Bo at a funeral with wax people ? Was this some sort of joke?
I grabbed onto a mans hand in hopes of finding someone to help me, but let out a terrified scream as the hand broke off, and instead of being just wax, the blood and bone of a human was revealed beneath it.
What. The. Fuck.
Grabbing a funeral service booklet out of a human/wax things hand, I read the cover.
'In loving memory of Trudy Sinclair.'
Heart in my throat I slowly approached the open coffin, staring in confusion at the wax covered corpse of Mrs Trudy Sinclair, who died over 25 years ago...
Hearing footsteps out side I quickly looked for somewhere to hide, in absolute panic I leapt under the priests long dress like outfit, silent tears beginning to steam down my face.
"I'm sorry mama, these people just have no respect." Came the gruff voice of Bo, I held in my gasp, remembering the cuffs on the highchair, and now realising there was probably good reason for them.
I watched through the skirt of the priest and Bo crept round, searching manically for me beneath each and every surface, I let out a tiny sigh of relief as he began to slowly walk down the isle of the church and towards the exit.
Suddenly he turned around slowly, and stared straight at me, he obviously couldn't see me but I couldn't help but look away...
I screamed as I felt hands grab me from behind, I kicked backwards and successfully smashed my foot into his knee before sprinting from beneath the skirt and heading towards the door in blind panic. I flung open the doors and legged it down the street, Bo hot on my heels.
I let out yet another scream as I was tackled from behind and pinned to the ground, before being ruffly turned into my back, my eyes widened as I saw an old lady pull back the curtain and stare at me.
"Help!" I screamed, holding onto the small piece of hope that she would come to my rescue. "Help!" My screaming was cut off when the man held his for arm to my neck, pressing down until I could no longer breath. I wanted to cry as I saw the lady simply shut her window, ignoring the racket outside.
"Shhhh" the man whispered, easing his grip on my neck.
"Get the fuck off me!"
"Shhh little lady." He demanded again, pressure increasing until everything went black.
